The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 49 calls between April 20 and 26th.
A pair of speeding tickets was issued first thing on the 20th.
The first, in the amount of $137, was issued to an adult male who was found to be speeding in a 80 kmph zone.
The second, in the amount of $186, was issued to an adult female who was clocked traveling at 113 kmph in an 80 kmph zone.
A complaint of a loud party drew members to the area.
When members arrived at the reported location of the party, the premises was found to be empty.
A single-vehicle MVA (motor vehicle accident) was reported by OnStar.
Members arrived at the scene of the collision and discovered a heavily damaged vehicle that had collided with a power pole.
Investigations revealed the driver had been stunting at the time of the incident.
An adult male is now facing charges of failing to notify property owner (SaskPower), failing to report accident immediately, and driving without due care and attention, all in relation to the collision.
The morning of the 21st began with members responding to a report of a suspected impaired driver.
Members patrolled the reported area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.
The RCMP would like to remind the public that, should you see a vehicle you suspect is driven by an impaired driver, to try and obtain the license plate number of the vehicle in question.
This will allow the RCMP to better investigate reports of impaired drivers, ensuring safer roadways for all drivers.
Members were called to a single vehicle MVA on the shoulder of Highway 9.
When members arrived, the vehicle was spotted in the ditch, however the driver was not at the scene.
An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Several calls were received regarding a disturbance between two individuals at a residence in the area.
Members attended in response to the calls, and located the suspect individuals.
Both parties were spoken to, and one of the two was transported to a different residence for the night.
A complaint was received from Bear Claw Casino of an unruly patron who was refusing a legal request to leave the premises.
Members attended, however the suspect individual had fled the area.
Members responded to a complaint of a loud party at a residence.
Members attended the scene where one individual, who was found in a state of intoxication, was taken to cells and lodged overnight.
A report of an assault drew members to a residence in the area.
Members arrived at the scene to find the subject of the complaint in a state of intoxication.
The adult female was taken into custody and lodged in cells until sober.
No charges were laid in relation to the initial report, and the case is considered closed.
A complaint was received by the detachment of two intoxicated males, dressed all in black, walking down Highway 9 near the community of Kenosee Lake after dark.
Members attended and located the individuals, who were then given a ride to a residence for the night.
April 22nd proved to be a quiet day for the members of Carlyle detachment, and no calls were logged on that day.
Calls on the 23rd began with a complaint of identity theft.
The complainant informed police that their identity had been used by a third party in regards to a traffic violation which had occurred in the city of Regina.
Following an investigation, members found that this was just the latest in a series of similar events, as the two individuals share a name.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
An adult male is facing charges following a single-vehicle MVA that occurred near Kenosee Lake.
Members were responding to a call of a MVA when they located the driver and vehicle at the scene of the collision, with EMS and fire services also in attendance.
The driver, who was complaining of back pain, was transported to Arcola Health Centre for treatment.
Investigations uncovered that the individual was been driving at a rate of speed beyond the posted limit, and proved to be the significant factor in the collision.
The driver has been charged with driving without due care and attention.
A complaint of an erratic driver was received at the detachment.
Since on-duty members were busy with priority calls, they were unable to respond immediately, and as no plate number was provided by the complainant, the vehicle was unable to be located.
A report of a suspicious person drew members to a roadside ditch north of Carlyle.
Members were unable to locate the individual in question.
The RCMP would like to remind the public that, should you see an injured person, or a person who appears they might become injured, remain with or near the person until members respond.
This will ensure that people who are in need of help can be found, and will reduce the likelihood of serious injury, especially near highways.
A call was received reporting an intoxicated individual.
The complainant reported seeing an unconscious person on their lawn, and suspect the individual was intoxicated.
Members responding to the call located the suspect individual, who showed signs of extreme inebriation.
The individual was unable to communicate clearly with members, and so was transported to cells and lodged until sober.
A complaint was received of an intoxicated individual in a roadside ditch off of Highway 13 near Carlyle.
Members found the individual in a state of extreme drunkenness, and when members attempted to communicate with the individual, he became agitated and began growling at the members.
The individual was taken into custody and was held in cells until sober.
Charges of public drunkenness have been drawn up against the individual.
A report of vandalism is being investigated.
The complainant contacted the police to report damage done to an outbuilding on their property, just outside of Carlyle.
The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The 24th of April began with a call reporting two vehicle stunting on the streets of Redvers at 8 a.m.
The complainant was concerned due to the movement of children on their way to school.
Members attended, however they were unable to locate the suspect vehicles.
A member from the Carlyle Detachment attended Gordon F. Kells high school in Carlyle to teach a driver's education class about the legal responsibilities of drivers.
Two individuals, an adult female and an adult male, were issued seat-belt tickets in unrelated traffic stops.
Both were issued within the town of Carlyle, and carry fines in the amount of $175.
An alarm at public property within Carlyle proved to be false following a search of the premises and area by responding members.
Members responded to a report of a fight between two individuals in the area.
Arriving at the scene, members found the two, however there was no evidence of a fight.
Both parties were spoken to and issued verbal warnings.
Members solicited the help of the Weyburn Detachment of the RCMP in solving a case of a gas n' dash.
The report, from a business in Carlyle, sent members in search of the suspect vehicle.
Due to the direction the vehicle was reported as heading, the Weyburn detachment was also contacted, and it was Weyburn members who managed to locate the vehicle.
The driver immediately made arrangements to pay the outstanding $82, and the matter is now considered closed.
Reports on the 25th began with a roadside stop by members.
Pulling over a vehicle that appeared suspicious, members found the driver, and adult female, was operating the motor vehicle while under a driving suspension.
Charges related to the offence have been laid against the individual.
A seatbelt ticket was issued to an adult female in the town of Carlyle.
The ticket amount for the offence is $175.
Two separate complaints were received of erratic drivers in two different locations.
Members attended both calls, however they were unable to locate the suspect vehicles.
A 911 call proved to be a misdial after members contacted the caller.
The morning of the 26th saw members assisting the courts in Estevan following an order by a judge to locate two individuals who had failed to make a pre-scheduled court date.
Members located the individuals, and after a short period, the two were transported to Estevan.
Finally, members responded to a call from school staff in Arcola regarding a power vehicle.
The vehicle had been in possession of and operated by a student.
Members examined the vehicle, and found that, due to modifications of it, it was now outside the classification it bore in its factory-direct shape.
Members contacted the student's parents, and informed them that the modifications now made its operation by a minor an issue, and that a helmet would also now be mandatory.
The family promised to revert the vehicle to its original configuration.
