Between the week of July 12th and 18th the RCMP received 60 calls.False Calls There were eight false calls during the period. There were four complaints because of the storm, the RCMP attended all and found everything be normal.

There were eight false calls during the period. There were four complaints because of the storm, the RCMP attended all and found everything be normal.

Animal Calls

There were complaints of a dog biting a woman on the White Bear Resort. The victim received a large bite mark to her calf and is receiving medical treatment. The matter is still being investigated and the resort management has been notified. There were also complaints of a dog that bit a youth near the playground in Carlyle; the matter is still under investigation. There were reports of a vehicle hitting a deer.

911 Calls

There were three 911 false calls which were caused by static generated by the storm, 911 was notified of the issue.

Hit and Run

There were four cases of a hit and run, one of which was in downtown Carlyle, the area was patrolled but the no one was located.

Fraud

There were complaints of a fraudsters calling and promising to reduce credit card expenses and lowering interest rates and asking for credit card numbers. The public is reminded not to give out credit card or banking information. Financial institutions will already have your info and will not ask for it.

Break and EnterThere was one case of break and enter to a season cottage; the matter is still being investigated. Impaired Drivers

Complaints of an intoxicated teenager driving around, checks were made but no one was found.

Alcohol related infractions

A resident made complaints of finding an intoxicated male sleeping on his couch, the residence was visited and arrested the man. No charges were pressed.

Traffic Infractions

Several vehicle stops were performed during the period and found one driver operating a vehicle with a suspended license, the driver was charged. Eight speeding tickets were issued during the period. One adult female was charged $180 for doing 58km in 40km zone. A male was charged $184 for speeding doing 130km in a 100km zone. An adult female charged $184 for speeding, doing 132km in a 100km zone. A male adult charged $150 for doing 130km in a100 zone. Another male charged $152 for doing 15km in a 100 zone. Adult male charged $194 for doing 137km in a 100 zone. Male adult charged $226 for speeding doing, 123km in a 80km zone. Complaints were received of speeding on 8th St W in Carlyle; there is an investigation and the area monitored by radar. There was a complaint of a vehicle splashing water in people's yard; the public is reminded to drive with courtesy. There were complaints of an erratic driver in Arcola swerving in the road and in oncoming traffic, the location was visited but no one was found. There were reports of vehicle performing stunts, the vehicle was located and the driver charged $150. RCMP checked a driver and he was charged $150 for not holding a valid driver's license. There was a complaint of gas theft, the driver was located who then paid for the gas, no charges were laid.Accident

Carlyle RCMP responded to anaccident that occurred at the Carlyle airport.It was reported a single engine Cessna 172 aircraft had ran off the runway and flipped over. Emergency services involving Carlyle RCMP, EMS and Carlyle Fire Department attended the scene. The male pilot was the lone occupant of the aircraft and was not injured as a result of the accident. Investigation determined that at the time of the accident, the pilot was completing training exercises and taxiing on the runway when the aircraft went off the runway and flipped over causing damage to the aircraft. Transportation Canada was advised and are treating the incident as a "ground accident" rather than a plane crash. Carlyle airport was closed for approximately two hours while RCMP investigated the incident and is now reopened for operation

Other cases

RCMP received complaints of theft of composite deck boards. Investigation revealed that the boards were delivered to the wrong address.

A request was made to locate an individual; RCMP patrolled the area but was contacted with information that the individual returned home safely.RCMP did a condition check of a male youth and he was not home. He was charged as he was in breach of curfew.

It was reported that a pump jack was kicked over as a result of the storm; Saskpower attended and turned off the power. Complaints were received of the highway being blocked; when members arrived on the scene individuals were removing heavy equipment, no laws were being broken.There were complaints of lines down as a result of the storm in Redvers, Sasktpower attended and made the area safe.

There were complaints of shot fired in a rural location, the location was checked but no one found, the case is still under investigation.Two complaints of fire as a result of lines down, Sask power attended and relieved the situation. There were complaints of harassing phone calls. The individuals were spoken to and advised not to call each other.There was complaint of an erratic driver. The area patrolled and no one was found.
