Between the week of April 19 and 25 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 61 calls.
There was one report regarding an abandoned vehicle which was left just off of Highway 13 at near Carlyle. Members were able to reach the owner and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
There were 8 reports of false alarms throughout the RCMP's coverage area.
Overall three reports of assaults were filed. All three took place in Carlyle.
The first call was of people fighting. Members attended and removed one male from a residence. At this time RCMP don't have a lot of details, but are continuing their investigation.
The second call was responded to with EMS. In this case an adult male was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries. This matter remains under investigation.
The final assault incident report concerned a male and female who were fighting outside of a residence. RCMP attended and arrested a 56-year-old male who is now facing assault charges in court. The female was transported to the hospital to be checked and was treated for minor injuries.
A single break and enter was reported during this time at a residence in Carlyle. Members attended and determined a break in had not occurred.
There were four reports of intoxicated persons causing a disturbance. Only in one instance was a 48-year-old male arrested and charged with being drunk in public and for failing to abide by release conditions.
There was a report of an intoxicated person walking along Highway 9. The 41-year-old male was located and arrested. He was held until sober and will be taken to court to face charges.
A 34-year-old male was charged with failing to abide with release conditions and was arrested to be taken before a judge.
One call of a hit and run collision was reported in Arcola during this time. Members attended and have interviewed the suspect, charges are pending.
A single dispatch call regarding a residential fire was received by RCMP. The fire call was from Redvers and together with the Fire Department, RCMP attended. The apartment was located. There was smoke, but no fire and nobody was injured.
A complaint was received of people shooting at night in the Forget area. RCMP made patrols, but were unable to locate the suspects.
There was one call regarding littering. Someone had dumped garbage on person's property in the Manor area. This matter remains under investigation.
A complaint of an offence under the Municipal Bylaws was reported regarding large round bales disrupting how run off is draining. RCMP are working with the Rural Municipality and are investigating the situation.
One call concerning possession of cocaine was received by RCMP. Members have interviewed suspects, but no charges have been laid at this time.
A request to locate an individual was called into the detachment. The person inquired about was located safe and sound. The caller was updated with this information.
There was one 24 hour driving suspension to a 20-year-old male.
Four individuals are now facing charges after being arrested for impaired driving including a 23-year-old male, a 56-year-old male, a 25-year-old male, and a 60-year-old male.
One complaint of an erratic driver was filed, but RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.
One collision was reported. It occurred at a work site where equipment hit a parked vehicle. No one was injured and the damage was minor.
During this week a complaint of uttering threats to harm another person was reported. The matter was looked into, but charges will not be laid.
On April 25 an officer, the Fire Department, and EMS attended a mock collision, which was held by the high school SADD group.
Between the week of April 19 and 25 there were a total of 12 driving related tickets issued.
Six speeding tickets were given to individuals throughout the week. Fines included tickets for $137 to a 52-year-old male, $137 to a 25-year-old male, $404 to a 23-year-old male, $139 to a 37-year-old male, $198 to a 30-year-old female, and $202 to a 31-year-old male.
Four seatbelt fines were issued for $175 each to a 33-year-old male, a 47-year-old male, a 30-year-old male, and a 31-year-old male.
A 17-year-old male was charged $280 for using a cell phone while driving.
A 70-year-old male was fined $280 for driving without reasonable consideration to others.
