The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 56 calls to service between Friday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 18.

False alarms

A false alarm at an Arcola business was received, but all was fine. There was a false alarm at a business in Carlyle which occurred due to recent maintenance issues surrounding their alarm system.

Assault

Two assaults were reported during this time. One occurred in Arcola where a 33-year-old male was charged, while the complainant in the second report of assault in the Carlyle area declined to pursue charges.

Assistance

Carlyle RCMP served a subpoena in the area for Regina Police Services.

RCMP went to assist EMS to a call in the Carlyle area, but upon arriving no one could be located in need of help.

Members were asked to locate an individual in the Carlyle area. They were found and all was well.

Two requests for fingerprints were completed. One was for immigration purposes and the other was for employment purposes.

Carlyle RCMP asked Estevan Police Service to locate two different individuals. Both were found well.

Three reports, one from Arcola and two from the Kisbey area, regarding a suspicious person were called into the detachment. Members found the individual in the Kisbey area. Concerns regarding mental health were present and the individual was taken to the hospital.

Break and enter/theft

A possible break and enter was reported in the Carlyle area. The doors had simply been improperly secured and were unlocked.

The theft of a bicycle in the Carlyle area is under investigation.

Theft of a wrench and fuel was reported near Forget.

A report of theft of cattle developed from the Corning area.

Mischief

Mischief was reported in Redvers where someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the arena. The fire was extinguished instantly and there was no damage done.

Reported in the Carlyle area was a loud party. The complainant refused to provide a statement and when members arrived all was quiet.

Damage to a camper in Redvers occurred where a rock had been thrown through a window.

Damage was done to an oil site near Kisbey.

An intoxicated individual walked into a residence; the complainant didn't want to pursue charges.

Mischief was reported in the Carlyle area where individuals placed barbed wire and rocks on a road.

Traffic infractions/collisions

In Arcola a hit and run was reported with damage having occurred to a light blue Mercury Topaz.

Request to locate a possible impaired driver was called into RCMP, but the individual was not found.

A 19-year-old male was charged with failing to remain under the criminal code after a hit and run in Redvers. He was also charged with misuse of licence plates and operating an unregistered vehicle.

There was a two-vehicle collision reported in Carlyle. An investigation is currently underway. The only reported injury was a possible broken nose.

A non-reportable collision occurred in Carlyle. There were no injuries and both vehicles were driveable.

There was a collision near Kenosee Lake of a non-reportable accident.

A collision with a deer occurred near Kisbey.

There was a minor collision at Kenosee Lake, but was a reportable accident because one vehicle involved was from out-of-province. No one was injured.

A complaint of an erratic driver near Carlyle was reported but not located.

There was a complaint of an erratic driver in Redvers who damaged pavement. This matter is still under investigation.

A 36-year-old male was charged for driving without a valid driver's licence in Carlyle and was fined $150.

Someone reported an individual possibly operating an unregistered vehicle in Regina.

Five speeding tickets were issued during this time. A 30-year-old male was charged $182; an 18-year-old male was fined $184; a 19-year-old was ticketed $184; a 35-year-old was fined $190; and a 20-year-old was charged $204.

Alcohol related infractions

An impaired driver check at Kenosee Lake led to a 35-year-old male charged with refusal to provide a breath sample and a 27-year-old male charged with open liquor in a vehicle.

Reports of an intoxicated individual in the Carlyle area were reported. RCMP located the person and took him to his residence.

Reports of two intoxicated individuals in Carlyle were called into RCMP. Members found the subjects and transported them to their residence.

Charges were laid on a 28-year-old male for being intoxicated in a public place in Carlyle. The individual was lodged in cells until sober.

There was a 29-year-old male stopped along Hwy 9 near Kenosee and charged with having open liquor in the vehicle, which is a fine of $360.

A 27-year-old male was stopped near Kenosee Lake as well and also charged with having open liquor in a vehicle.

In Carlyle a 41-year-old driver was checked for intoxication and had their licence suspended for three days.

A 34-year-old female was fined $360 for having open alcohol in a vehicle.

In the Carlyle area an intoxicated individual was reportedly sitting in their vehicle. Members attended but the individual had left.

Threats

Threats to an individual were reported from the Kisbey area and this matter is currently under investigation.

Two separate reports of uttering threats were reported from Manor.

Other calls

There was a bailer fire near Wauchope.

A leather wallet was found in Carlyle and returned to its owner.

An individual was arrested for breach of peace. They were intoxicated and causing a disturbance at a residence. The individual was removed from the residence and lodged in cells.
