Weekly RCMP report

The Carlyle RCMP Detachment responded to a total of 42 calls between the week of Friday, Aug. 31, and Thursday, Sept. 4. 911 calls Two 911 calls were received. One was to a residence in the R.M. of Moose Creek, but it was not an emergency.

911 calls

Two 911 calls were received. One was to a residence in the R.M. of Moose Creek, but it was not an emergency. The second was a static line to a residence in Arcola.

Assault

An assault which occurred in Carlyle led to a 43-year-old male being charged.

Assistance

Assistance was provided to the Saskatoon Police Service in executing a warrant in the area.

RCMP and SERM are investigating an illegally shot moose in the area.

Carlyle RCMP are working with Estevan Police Services regarding an accident which occurred here, but was reported in Estevan.

A report of an intoxicated male who had injured himself in Redvers resulted in members attending to help EMS get him to the hospital. There was no criminal offence committed.

A request to locate an individual in Kisbey was completed and all was found to be well, the individual had simply ran out of minutes on their cell phone.

Driving infractions

A 44-year-old male will need to attend court after being found driving while suspended.

There was a 26-year-old male charged for driving an unregistered vehicle and for driving while disqualified.

An erratic driver was reported in Redvers. RCMP pulled over a 27-year-old male and he was charged with the impaired operation of a motor vehicle and with driving over 0.08.

Members were unable to locate a vehicle with a possibly impaired driver from a bar in Arcola.

A 48-year-old male was charged $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign.

Six speeding tickets were issued. A 28-year-old male was fined $135; there was a 23-year-old male stopped and ticketed $136; a 40-year-old female was fined $133; a 39-year-old female was charged $133; a 57-year-old male was fined $240; a 24-year-old female was charged $128.

There was a traffic collision in the Carlyle area between a vehicle and a horse and colt. An individual required stitches. In relation to this a traffic hazard of the dead horse and colt were reported as still being on the road.

In Redvers a vehicle without a licence was reported and RCMP are investigating.

A single vehicle collision took place near Antler. The individual driving went to turn around at an approach before realizing it had been washed out. There were no injuries and little damage done to the vehicle.

Fingerprints

A 31-year-old male has been charged for failing to attend for fingerprints.

One individual attended the detachment to have their fingerprints taken.

False alarms

Three false alarms were recorded during this time. The first was to a business in Arcola where the panic alarm was accidentally pressed. The second involved a new employee having forgotten the code, while the final alarm was caused due to a faulty sensor.

Harassment

A harassing phone call was reported in Arcola. The complainant didn't want charges laid, but wanted to make a record of the incident.

There was a report of harassment in Carlyle, but upon speaking with the complainant RCMP determined it was not.

Theft

A stolen boat was recovered. The motor was in poor shape, but the owner declined to lay charges.

Theft of cheques from a business in Redvers was reported and members are investigating the matter.

In Kisbey a report of a stolen bobcat was received by RCMP. It has since been recovered and the matter is currently under investigation.

Other calls to service

There was a report of shots fired in the Antler area. No charges were laid.

A report of identity fraud was reported and is now under investigation.

Fourteen criminal record checks were requested during this time.

A complainant reported possible mischief when an individual was said to be unlawfully inside of a residence. RCMP determined the individual in question wasn't in the house.

Mischief was reported in Carlyle where flowers were ripped out of a flower planter along Main Street.

Children were reportedly playing in a road in the Carlyle area. Members attended speaking with both the parents and the youth.

There was a male walking in the middle of the road near Redvers who was nearly hit. The individual was located and spoken with about the dangers of walking there.

A report of youth riding quads in the Carlyle area was called in, but they were gone by the time the RCMP arrived.

A suspicious vehicle was reported in Carlyle. Members located it and charged an 18-year-old male with possession of a controlled substance.

An intoxicated individual was reportedly bothering people at a residence in the Carlyle area. They were taken to a local hotel.
