The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP received 63 calls of service between, April 24 and May 1.
911 Calls
In Antler a 911 call was received but it was a static line. There were also 911 calls with static lines from Wawota and Manor. A call was received from Arcola which was a pocket dial, while a call from Redvers was as result of a child playing with the phone. Another call within the local area was received with a complaint regarding unwanted persons in the house.
Assault
There was a report of an assault by a third party in the local area. Checks were made and all was normal.
Assistance
The local detachment provided assistance to Child Family Services regarding a custody order.On Hwy 13 assistance was provided to CN Rail Maintenance when a crossing light was found to be pointing downward.
Breach of the Peace
There was a breach of the peace reported on Pheasant Rump involving unruly individuals at a residence. It was found to be a family dispute, which was settled.
Break and Enter
There was break and enter to a business in Carlyle where cash was taken. The matter is under investigation. In the local area a break and enter occurred at a cottage. Nothing was taken. There were three other break and enters in the Carlyle area. The matter is under investigation. A break and enter occurred in Carlyle at the town office where cash and other items were taken. The matter is under investigation.
Mischief
There was a report of mischief in the local area which involved an unwanted individual at a residence refusing to leave. Someone eventually picked him up and all was normal. There was a report of mischief in the local area where there were complaints of pounding on a door. In Carlyle a vehicle was vandalized, the window of a black Mazda 3 was smashed while parked along hwy 13. In Carlyle there was a report of mischief involving a youth at a school that he didn't attend.
Collision
There was a report of traffic collision, near Carlyle. There were no injuries. Near Wawota a single vehicle occurred and also in Arcola. There was a traffic collision, north of Kisbey. A 61-year-old male was fined $250 for speeding while passing an emergency vehicle. In Carlyle a 25-year- old female was fined $352 for the same offense.A 22-year-old female north of hwy 9 was fined $136 dollars for speeding. A 27-year-old female near Arcola was fined $210 for speeding.Near Redvers a 35-year- old male was fined $131 for speeding On Hwy 9 a 17-year-old male was fined $448 for speeding.Along Hwy 13, near Forget,a 18-year -old male was fined $135 fined for speeding
Theft
There was a report of theft of an electric fence and lightening diverter near Forget.In Carlyle there was theft of a diesel fuel slip tank. There are currently no suspects.In the local area there was a report of a theft of a cell phone. The matter is under investigation.
Other Calls
A 24-hour suspension was issued to a 21 and a 23-year-old male near Wawota during the quad derby.A 22-year-old female was fined $580 for driving an unregistered vehicle. There was a report of harassment in Wawota which is still under investigation.There was a report of a breach of probation at Manor and it was determined to be unfounded. The individual had permission.
There was a report of a hit and run that occurred in either Carlyle or Redvers where a brown Chevy Equinox was hit. There was a report of harassment in the local area through Facebook.There was a grass fire near Stoughton and the Fillmore detachment provided assistance.The following were charged in Carlyle for not wearing their seatbelt at $174: a 53-year-old female, a 31-year-old male, a 26-year-old male, a 54-year-old female and a 57-year old male.
