The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 44 calls over the week of Sept.7- Sept.13. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported.The RCMP responded to a complaint of assault on Sept. 7. Members met the victim at the hospital to get the details. The victim did not want RCMP involvement and it does not appear that charges will be laid. The matter is still being investigated.A false 911 call followed. After investigation it turned out there was trouble with the phone lines and there was no emergency.Complaints on the 8th began with calls regarding a theft. Several things were stolen from an oil rig site the week before. The matter is still under investigation. A caller reported an impaired driver in the Arcola area. A vehicle description and plate number was given. Members responded and a "be on the lookout" was sent to the Weyburn detachment.A vehicle was reported driving dangerously around Manor. No statement was give by the witness. RCMP made patrols and identified a suspect. The driver was spoken to but at this time no charges are being pressed.Members responded to a complaint of erratic driver during the late hours of the night in Carlyle. The driver was arrested and held in cells until sober. Charges will be brought to court and include breach of probation as well as possession of liquor in a vehicle.The detachment was dispatched to an assault scene. The issue took place in the Carlyle area, where one man was arrested and is facing assault charges in court. The victim did not require medical attention.A distraught person called 911 seeking RCMP assistance. When the members arrived they arrested one male, who they took into the detachment. He was held in cells over night and charges are pending the arrival of a court date.Members were called to the area on the 9th to attend a fire. A home was engulfed in flames when the RCMP arrived. Two fire departments attended but were unable to save the home. The fire is believed to have been caused by children playing with flames in an abandoned structure next door. No one was injured. The family has been relocated for the time being.Calls began on the 10th with a complaint of a man breaching his conditions. When RCMP investigated it was found that the suspect was not breaching any of his conditions after all.A complaint of a car driving a dangerous speed around Carlyle was reported. Patrols were made but members were unable to locate the suspect.The RCMP was called to assist the Alameda fire department at a ditch fire. The RCMP was asked to attend due to the poor visibility over the highway at that time. The fire was extinguished and the road was re opened. A possible scam was reported in the Antler area. The caller had received a fax indicating that 95 million dollars was available if they responded with their info. The complainant did not provide any details, but instead reported it to police. The matter has now been forwarded to phone busters. A collision took place on private property in the Manor area. A grain holder had been damaged by a moving vehicle. No charged are being laid.Members attended false alarm in Carlyle on the 11th. Upon arrival the staff members of the business informed police that it had been their fault. RCMP responded to a call regarding an injured deer. Upon arrival the deer was put out of its misery by a member, and it was determined that hunting had not been the cause. It is suspected that the deer was hit by a moving vehicle. A vehicle owner reported that their car was in the ditch after avoiding a deer on the road. The matter was reported for SGI purposes only and no injuries occurred.A vehicle was reported stolen in Carlyle. The matter is still under investigation and charges will be decided upon after the matter in concluded.A male was reported causing mischief at a private residence in the area. The member spoke to the suspect upon arrival, and he left without further incident. No charges are being laid. Members were called to a local residence for disturbance. One male was arrested and removed for the scene, after starting an altercation. The RCMP are awaiting statements to press charges.The morning of Sept. 12 began with a complaint of an assault and threats in Manor. The matter is being investigated and charges are pending.Facebook threats were reported to the detachment. The RCMP is still investigating where the threats came from.A theft was reported in Redvers, after the complainant noticed a large amount of tools missing. The detachment has a suspect and charges will be laid upon the completion of the investigation.A grass fire at an oil site in the Kisbey area required RCMP assistance. The fire departments also attended. There were no safety concerns and the fire was put out.A theft was reported in a cabin in the area. The victim lost several items. The RCMP is seeking any information the public is able to provide. The theft would have taken place over the previous month. A male and female failed to appear in court. Both received charges for the incident. There are warrants out for their arrest.A garage was reported on fire in Redvers. Members attended. No one was injured. Members were dispatched to a Redvers business to get rid of some intoxicated individuals. Upon arrival the suspects were gone.Members are investigating the drug use of certain individuals in Manor.A complaint was received on the 13th regarding a possible fraud. The caller reported receiving phone calls from an unknown caller seeking banking information. It has been confirmed that no money was missing from the complainant account. The investigation continues to identify the caller.A 911 call was received regarding a possible intoxicated driver swerving into traffic. The vehicle was not located.RCMP were called to a residence where a suspect was smashing objects on the property. Upon arrival the suspect was gone. The suspect is known to police, and the investigation continues.
