Weekly RCMP report

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP received 52 complaints between November 8 and 14. 911 calls Two 911 calls were received. One was in the Carlyle area where kids were playing with the phone, while the other was in Wawota where the cause was unknown.

911 calls

Two 911 calls were received. One was in the Carlyle area where kids were playing with the phone, while the other was in Wawota where the cause was unknown.

False alarms

A false alarm at a business in Redvers was inspected. Unsure of the cause, it was possible mice had set the alarm off.

A false alarm at a Manor residence came into RCMP. The homeowners didn't think their alarm was working.

An alarm at the Pheasant Rump First Nations Band Office went off. The building had simply been secured improperly.

A false alarm at a residence in Carlyle went off and the cause was unknown.

Animal complaints

Three animal complaints were received including cattle on the highway near Redvers. The second call regarded missing cattle near Wawota and is currently under investigation. Finally a call to Arcola brought RCMP to investigate a dog attacking a cat, which remains under investigation.

Assault

A report of assault near Kisbey was reported and is under investigation.

An assault with a weapon was called in near Carlyle.

Breach of reconnaissance

Two breaches of reconnaissance occurred when an individual with an electronic monitoring system in the area recorded the wrong hours. The issue with the monitoring system has now been sorted out.

Breaking and entering

Two youth have been charged with breaking and entering at the White Bear Lake Resort.

Criminal harassment

A criminal harassment case regarding comments on Facebook were reported in Arcola.

Disturbing the peace

Disturbing the peace in Carlyle at a business was reported. The complainant refused to lay charges. An individual was upset they were not invited to a wedding.

A complaint in Carlyle for disturbing the peace was received. An individual was attempting to pick a fight with another person.

Fire

A fire at a workshop in Redvers was attended to. The electrical panel is thought to have been the cause.

Impaired driving

An impaired driver was stopped on Hwy 13 near Carlyle. The 21-year-old male was charged and will be going to court.

A 24-hour licence suspension was issued to a 19-year-old male in Arcola for alcohol consumption.

Tickets

A 25-year-old in Redvers was given a liquor ticket at $360.

Eight speeding tickets were given out during this time. A fine of $139 was given to a 21-year-old male; a 39-year-old male was fined $133; a 33-year-old female was ticketed $139; a 54-year-old was ticketed $133; a 30-year-old male was fined $139; a 33-year-old male was ticketed $212; a 32-year-old male was fined $133; a 31-year-old male was ticketed $196.

Mischief

Acts of mischief occurred during this time. In Wawota a steel pipe was driven over by a vehicle.

A tail light on a vehicle was damaged in Carlyle.

Mischief to a residence in Kisbey is currently under investigation.

Collision

A single vehicle rollover near Redvers occurred; there were no injuries.

A report of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle was reported. The intoxicated female was located and was fine; she had not been struck by a vehicle.

A two vehicle collision took place in Carlyle. There were no injuries, but a 37-year-old was charged with driving without due care and attention.

Theft

A theft of money in the Carlyle area was reported. Police determined the issue was a civil matter.

Suspicious occurrences

A suspicious package in Forget near the cemetery was called in. Inspection showed it was an old tent.

A suspicious person in Carlyle was reportedly selling stereos out of the back of their vehicle. The person turned out to be a legitimate business man and he was advised to get the proper licences.

A suspicious vehicle on White Bear was reported.

There was a suspicious piece of hotdog that was left on someone's front step in Manor. The homeowner felt as though it had been left there to poison the owner's dog. RCMP picked up the hotdog and inspected it determining all was alright.

Other calls of service

In Arcola a complaint of passing a school bus is under investigation.

Reported in Carlyle were highly inebriated males at the bar. A 30-year-old male and a 31-year-old male were charged and will go to court.

A complaint of an unsecure load was reported near Carlyle and is under investigation.

An unsecure load near Kisbey was reported on Hwy 13. The truck was not located.

A lost passport was reported in Carlyle.

A complaint of individuals hunting on property without permission was reported near Kisbey. No charges were laid.

A woman in Carlyle had left a residence and people were concerned about her safety. She later returned to the house.
