The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 46 calls over the week of Sept.14- Sept.20. Cases involving mental health issues, child welfare or other undisclosed matters will not be reported.RCMP responded to a call on Highway 13 near Kisbey on the morning of the 14th. A vehicle had skidded out and hit the ditch. Upon arrival RCMP found a vehicle in the ditch still running. The vehicle had no damage. The occupant was not injured but was impaired. The male driver was taken to Carlyle, where breath samples were produced. He will be facing charges in court. A 50 dollar bill was found laying outside. The caller just wanted to find out if the RCMP had any other calls regarding the lost money. The RCMP informed the man that they did not have any calls.A complaint came in to the RCMP regarding fraud. The victim was selling an item on Kijiji when a fraudster convinced him to send some money to them. RCMP do have some leads and are continuing the investigation. It is very early on but members do think a suspect will be identified. The RCMP was made aware of a grass fire that was brought under control by the local fire department. There was no structural damage and no injuries.Members attended a false alarm at the Carlyle post office. When the member arrived the alarm had already been turned off. The building was secure.A complainant reported a collision between a vehicle and a deer. The complainant reported that there were no injuries other than the instant death of the animal.RCMP were called to Redvers after receiving a complaint of erratic driving. Members made patrol and were given a partial plate. The suspect was not located. A second erratic driver complaint was made shortly after in the Kisbey area, where the driver was also not located.A complaint was received on the 15th regarding a vehicle squealing its tires in Redvers. The RCMP are still conducting interviews with witnesses and charges will be laid.A false alarm was received at a residence in Kipling. The owner contacted the RCMP to let them know that everything was okay.A grass fire was reported north of Carlyle. White Bear fire department attended the fire and extinguished it before it became a threat to anyone. A fire was later reported in the town of Carlyle. RCMP attended with the fire department and EMS. The fire was extinguished and it appeared the cause was engine failure. RCMP were involved in a high speed chase. The 38-year-old driver would not stop for police and ended up driving home. He was later arrested at his residence and brought into the detachment for breath samples. He was held in cells until sober and charges are pending.A 911 call regarding fighting in Carlyle lead police to investigate. They discovered no one had been assaulted and that it was a mutual argument. The fight had gotten very loud and disturbed people in the surrounding area. No one was injured and no charges are being laid.The RCMP were called to the town of Wawota on the 16th after reports of a fight. Members attended and found that the ambulance had already taken one injured suspects to hospital. It was not determined at that point who was responsible for causing the disturbance. Statements are still being obtained and the matter is still being investigated.A vehicle struck a building in Redvers and fled the scene. RCMP attended and obtained evidence from the location. The vehicle was located and the driver was identified. RCMP conducted an investigation and numerous provincial traffic regulation charges were distributed. The 41-year-old female responsible will also have to appear in court.Members responded to a call in Kisbey stating people had damaged the play park. Several names were given. Information is still being obtained and at this time no charges have been laid.RCMP responded to a call of loud music in Redvers. Members attended and spoke to the property representatives and the music was shut off. No charges were laid.An intoxicated male was causing trouble for a family in the area. Upon RCMP arrival the male had already fled the scene and did not return during the night.A false alarm was reported in Redvers. There had been numerous false alarms from this residence in the recent past therefore RCMP did not attend. Members later found out that it was yet again a false alarm.Members attended a false alarm in Manor during the morning of the 17th. While in route to the scene RCMP was called off by employees at the location.Members attended a vehicle collision in Redvers. A vehicle drove into a parked car. There were no injuries and no charges were pressed.RCMP conducted a traffic stop in the Alameda area. Subsequent to the stop, a 59-year-old male was arrested when he obstructed an officer. He was held in custody and taken to court in Weyburn the next morning. He faced traffic charges as well as the criminal code charge of obstructing an officer. He was sentenced and back in court on Wednesday the 19th, where he received a conditional sentence order as well as fines.Traffic was reported in the Arcola area on the 18th. The complainant wanted to inform police of the heavy trucks in the area that are not abiding by traffic signs and were speeding. RCMP will be making increased patrols in the area.A fraud was reported after a male wrote false checks and fled the area. Charges will be made and RCMP will be releasing a warrant for the male.A call was received in Carlyle regarding a gas and dash. The owner of the vehicle is being contacted by a member.Possible gun shots were reported north of Carlyle. RCMP attended and investigated. The damage to the cabin did not seem to be from fire arms but the investigation continues.Members were called to a disturbance in the Kisbey area. Police assisted two parties in resolving a conflict and no criminal offence was committed. An impaired driver was reported in the Kisbey area. RCMP attended and located the vehicle. Unfortunately no one was inside the vehicle at the time and no witnesses were able to provide statements. Members spoke to the owner of the vehicle and no charges were laid. RCMP responded to a complaint that involved the animal pedigree act. The complainant provided members with information regarding a purchase of livestock that did not have their pedigree papers. RCMP are looking into the matter and did discover that charges can be laid on these matters. Members are looking to resolve the matter without charges.A caller informed police on the 20th that they had found a pug puppy. The pug had a brown and black face. Anyone with information regarding the puppy is asked to contact the RCMP. The person who found the puppy will keep it until its owner comes forward. A driver reported having items thrown from a passing school bus at them. The driver's windshield was struck and they were quite startled. RCMP did not locate the school bus but is still investigating. Members hope to find the school bus driver and the parties involved. The RCMP received a barking dog complaint that is being looked into.
