The Carlyle RCMP, during the week of Oct. 25th to 31st, received 39 calls for service.
Animal call
An animal complaint near Manor was reported of cattle being on the highway. Members attended and returned three calves to their pasture through a barbed wire fence.
Assaults
Two assaults were carried out in Carlyle and both are currently under investigation.
Assistance to public
Assistance was given to a man in Manor who was concerned about Hallowe'en coming up and possible disturbances.
Concerns were voiced regarding excessive traffic going in and out of White Bear Lake Resort.
Assistance was given to a couple with a court order regarding custody.
Break and enter
A break and enter to a residence in Redvers is currently under investigation.
Community service
Cpl. Kelly Guider attended Carlyle Elementary School to speak with youth about being home alone and the safe use of 911 as well as other safety tips.
Mischief
A report of mischief to a vehicle was reported in Carlyle and is currently under investigation.
A complaint of mischief at the Bear Claw Casino was reported. It was discovered there was a mental health issue regarding this matter. Everything was sorted out and found to be fine.
Mischief to a residence in Arcola was reported. It was a verbal argument, but everything was settled and sorted out.
Possible impaired drivers
Three reports of impaired drivers were reported.
The first concerned an individual on Hwy 13 near Carlyle who was stopped by RCMP. It was discovered the driver was not impaired, but they were spoken with regarding their poor driving.
The second report was called in two hours following the possibly impaired individual having left the Manor area.
The final call of an impaired driver near Carlyle was not located. The caller had said the individual was stuck in the ditch with their vehicle, but it was gone before RCMP arrived.
Traffic infractions
A 41-year-old male in Carlyle failed to stop at a stop sign and was fined $230.
A public complaint near Carlyle on Hwy 13 will result in a $230 fine for the registered owner of a vehicle as the complainant witnessed the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and is willing to lay charges.
Thirteen speeding tickets were issued during this time: a 28-year-old male was fined $139 near Carlyle; a 20-year-old male was ticketed $184 near Arcola; a 26-year-old male was fined $150 near Kisbey; a 24-year-old female was charged $184 near Carlyle; a 26-year-old male was charged $468 near Redvers; a 64-year-old male was fined $137 near Redvers; a 30-year-old male near Wauchope didn't receive charges after being stopped and warned; a 22-year-old male was fined $138 near Kisbey; a 23-year-old female was ticketed $200 near Manor; a 24-year-old was fined $132 near Carlyle for speeding and given a ticket of $115 for tint on their windows; a 17-year-old male was fined $220 near Manor; a 27-year-old was fined $139 near Carlyle; a 34-year-old male was ticketed $138 near Carlyle for speeding.
An erratic driving complaint was received near Arcola. RCMP attended but were unable to locate the vehicle.
A driver with an insecure load was reported as driving along Hwy 9. RCMP attended and gave the driver a warning.
A vehicle stop in Carlyle located an unsecure firearm, ammunition, and open liquor in a vehicle. The driver was 17-years-old and was fined $360.
Traffic collision
A 20-year-old male driver rear ended another vehicle while driving near Arcola. The driver was issued a ticket and fined $280 for driving without due care and attention.
Other calls
RCMP attended a driver's education class in Wawota.
A hit and run that took place in Regina was reported with members of the Carlyle detachment.
Report of harassing phone calls was reported from an individual in Carlyle. RCMP were unable to determine who the caller was.
Loud music at a party in Redvers was called in to RCMP members. Upon attending the home owner agreed to keep their music down.
Theft of a wallet in Alida was reported.
A request to locate an individual from Redvers was received. The person was located and there were no problems, they had simply pulled over for a nap.
Report of suspicious persons in the Kisbey area was received. People had come during the night, then left right away.
