Overnight Saturday and into Sunday morning of June 27 and 28 southeast Saskatchewan was the recipient of a much needed rain. The system also brought with it some high winds, causing extensive damage to a new facility for Loraas Disposal Company being built in Kennedy, SK.
The winds blew down the partially completed wood structure that was still in the framing stage of construction and was nearly ready for cladding and closing in.
No one was available to assess the total damage or value of the damage to the property caused by the weekend storm system.
