CongratulationsÌýto Harding and Hudson Garratt, sons of Owen Garratt and Karla Elder, who live in Spruce Grove, Alta. They are both involved in 755 Parkland Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. Harding was promoted to sergeant and won top level three cadet.

Hudson won top instructor, top marksmanship, most outstanding drill team member and was awarded the Lord Strathcona Medal, which is the highest award a cadet can receive.

Delores Porter of Regina spent Thanksgiving in Wawota with the Wade Porter’s and Trevor Branvold’s family.

Born to Ryan and Deanna Taylor on Sept. 21, a daughter. She weighed five pounds and eight ounces, and has been named Elsie Jennifer. She is a granddaughter for Garth and Dorla Taylor and Derek and Jennifer Bruce (Langbank), and is a great-granddaughter for Viola Taylor (Kipling), Garry Bruce, and Dave and Rosemary Cowan.

Stacey Heffernan, Kate and Sarah of Regina spent Thanksgiving weekend with the respective families of Keith Olson and ake Lamoureaux.

Sympathy to the family and friends of the late Ward Eastland of Moosomin. He passed away at a Regina Hospital on Oct. 9 at the age of 76 years. He was predeceased by his wife Deborah and is survived by Richard, Jenelyn and Lorilee and their families. Wawota has fond memories of Ward and Debbie while they lived here.

Keith Olson and Garry Dickson were invited to participate in the annual United Way Estevan Telethon at the Royal Canadian Legion’s Estevan branch last weekend. They entertained from 1:30-2 p.m. on and it was televised on Access Now.
