Gail Engle and Jeff Engle travelled to Vermeer, B.C. to attend the wedding of Gail's grandson, Sam Eckert (Stephen and Nancy's son). Sam and Dana Farrell were married on Aug. 8.
Sympathy to Werner Skappel and Jeffery on the passing of Werner's mother, Hilda Skapple of Minton. She passed away on July 28 at the age of 64 years .She leaves her husband, Wayne, family, Werner, Andrew and Ashlee and their families. A graveside service was held Aug. 1 at the Lesja Scandinavian Cemetery at Minton.
Born to Ellen and Jordan Fox on the birth of their daughter. She weighed 10 pounds, two ounces, and has been named Brinley Rae. She is a granddaughter for Wade and Teresa Fox and Ed and Shannon Revet.
Word has been received of the passing of Gladys (Harrison) Duarte of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was 90 years old. She was one of the older children of the 11 in Harry and Edith Harrison's family.
Jordan and Ana Lyn Trinidad, along with Dana and Jamir have moved into their new home on Lonsdale Avenue. It was the former Ruth Dennis home and more recently the Ernest Hourd home.
Sympathy to Don and Brenda Horvath, as well as Dean and Delaine and family on the passing of Don's father, Jim Horvath. He passed away in Regina on Aug. 10 at the age of 96 years. He leaves wife Agnes, sons Don and Glen and their families.
Approximately 40 people gathered at the Walpole Cemetery last Wednesday for a graveside ceremony in honor of the late Pat Sotkowy. Pat who was the last of the Shatford family passed away in March a few days shy of her 90th birthday. Family members, Paula, David and Shawn and their families were in attendance.
Dennis Niebergall and son Cash from Stoney Mountain, Alta., visited with Stan and Bev Niebergall last week. Dennis took part in his annual golf tournament at Kenosee with friends.
Cindy Olson, Emma and Morgan Buhr from St. Albert, AB and Stacey Heffernan, Kate and Sarah of Regina visited with family in the area last week.
Emma and Morgan enjoyed spending time with their friends.
