REGINA — The Victoria Park Cenotaph has been vandalized for the second time this week.
Graffiti on the war memorial was found on Wednesday and Thursday morning, with both instances being cleaned up by city crews.
“The safety and security of our customers, employees, and facilities is a priority for the City of Regina, and we continue to make investments in security measures that support this safe and secure environment,” the City of Regina said in a statement. “Like any security plan, we do not share the specifics of what we have in place as that could compromise its effectiveness.”
This isn’t the first time the cenotaph has been the victim of vandals, as back in 2019, it was spray-painted and saw a plaque stolen.
