Vaccination clinic coming to White Bear First Nations

A vaccination clinic will occur for priority groups of the White Bear First Nations’ on-reserve community next week.

According to a post on the White Bear Health Facebook page, White Bear First Nations will be receiving the Moderna vaccine for COVID-19, and a vaccine clinic will be held Feb. 8 for on-reserve priority groups at the Four Nations’ Care Lodge.

Those priority groups are age 80 and up, 70 and up, health staff and immune-compromised individuals. Participation is optional, but strongly encouraged.Ìý

This would be one of the first vaccination clinics to occur in Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Zone 4, which also includes Estevan.

People in those high-priority groups in the reserve will be contacted for their appointment time. If you are not contact ed by Feb. 9, please call Jason Lamb at 306-575-6460.

Only those individuals identified within a priority group will receive the vaccine at this time.

White Bear Health has been issuing updates on the number of COVID cases in the community. There were 13 active cases of COVID-19 as of Monday, which was the majority of the 18 active cases in the region. That number was down to four active cases as of Friday.Ìý
