A blizzard is causing highway problems in southeast Saskatchewan.

Highways in the southeast region are open once again.

The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highways Hotline reports that the highways in the Estevan area were open as of 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon. They had been closed since early Saturday.

However, travel is not recommended on many highways in southeast Saskatchewan due to the impact of the storm.

A blizzard warning remains in effect for the Estevan, Weyburn and Carlyle areas, while a snowfall warning remains for the Moosomin and Kipling areas.

The Saskatchewan RCMP said it has received multiple reports of non-fatal collisions and is working hard to respond.
