WEYBURN — As schools begin their wind-down experiences, some of their student achievements were shared in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Cornerstone Public School Division board room at the start of the May 24 open business session.
From science student achievements at national competitions in Edmonton to Skills Canada wins and graduation plans, it's all green lights as students and teachers now begin to look toward the end of June and the completion of another successful academic and social year.

Director of Education, Keith Keating reported that a sprinkler issue at Weyburn Comprehensive School became a problem that led to the postponement of a number of events in the school as remediation was required prior to use. He said the incident is covered by the division's insurance policy.

A video highlight presentation helped draw the meeting to a close last Wednesday with the video focusing on the life and times of students and staff at Lampman School. The school is a Kindergarten to Grade 12 facility that offers inclusion, challenges and lots of action along with their academic pursuits.

The next regular (open to public) board meeting for SECPSD will be on June 21 beginning at 1 p.m. in the conference room at the board's head office in Weyburn.
