The Stoughton Co-op Food Store celebrated its grand re-opening on Monday, April 30, with scratch and save offers, cake and coffee, and a BBQ on Wednesday, May 2.
“We put in a bid last year when the SLG closed in town,” Deric Reaney said. “We had a successful bid last year and with renovations needed to put that in, we decided to do a total reset and freshen up both the interior and exterior. So, we have totally new décor inside and out.”
“We’ve also expanded our hours of operation and will be open on Sundays.”
One of the new features at the store will be fresh baking from the bakery, which members said they wanted: “We’re waiting on a water line to go in and will be able to start right away after that.”
Throughout their celebratory week they had numerous giveaways and in-store draws as well.
“Later in May we also have liquor vendors coming out to highlight a few of their products that will be for sale here,” Reaney added.
