Upcoming Events

On Monday, January 31 Stoughton school will be hosting an Old Tyme Music and dance workshop starring several of Saskatchewan and Canada's top musical talents. The school show consists of a combination of performance and dance, with a focus on audience participation through movement and rhythm. Students in grades 1 to 9 will experience some great music and learn some traditional square dance forms.

On Friday, February 4 Canadian Blues Legend Big Dave McLean will be in Stoughton School to share some of his musical knowledge and talent with Grades 9 to 12. Big Dave who was born in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and is a son of a Presbyterian minister has long been one of Canada's top blues artists with several awards including a Juno in 1991 for best Blues recording.

SRC

Family fun hypnotist, Jesse Lewis of Watson SK, will be performing at the school Friday February 11th, 2011 starting at 8:00. Tickets will be available in advance or at the door for $15 per person or $50 for a family of 5 (parents and dependent children). Tickets are available at the school, from SRC members and from businesses in the community. Come out for a night of family fun and entertainment.

Sports

In the Gr 6 - 12 curling program, we have approximately 40 curlers. We are heavy into practices twice a week.
