UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm watch lifted in southeast Sask.

Storms are expected to develop this afternoon.

A severe thunderstorm watch is over for Carlyle and other areas.

SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - Environment Canada has lifted the severe thunderstorm watch for the southeast corner of the province, including Carlyle, Bienfait, Oxbow, Carnduff, Redvers, Stoughton, Lampman, Kipling and Moosomin.

Issued at 11:21 a.m., it said severe thunderstorms were expected to develop in the afternoon and continue into the evening hours. They are expected to weaken as the sun sets.

The thunderstorm watch was lifted late Sunday night. It was in addition to the heat warning that was issued early Sunday.
