MOOSOMIN — At press time, the Langenburg Warriors topped the Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Hockey League with six points and a pristine 3-0 start to the season. They kicked the season off on the road Nov. 15 with a 5-2 win over the Theodore Buffalos, then a pair of double-digit at-home victories on Nov. 16 and 22; 10-2 over the Cote Selects and 13-1 over the Preeceville Pats respectively.

Throughout the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Division, the season is just starting up. The Rocanville Tigers are seated in second place in the Â鶹ÊÓƵ with their 3-2 win over the Canora Cobras on Nov. 23.

The Esterhazy Flyers—back this year after a hiatus since 2019—are 1-1, earning a big win for their triumphant return home opener on Nov. 15 with a score of 7-5 over the visiting Selects, then taking a narrow loss on the road in Preeceville as the Pats managed an 8-7 victory.

The Wapella Blackhawks also sit with a 1-1 record so far, tied with Esterhazy with two points each. The Blackhawks are starting their season on the road, surprising the Churchbridge Imperials on Nov. 16 with a 4-2 win, but taking a 9-2 loss on Nov. 23 in Swan River as the Axemen proved strong.

The Churchbridge Imperials have had a rocky start to the season with an 0-2 record thus far, taking that aforementioned home-opener loss to Wapella on Nov. 16, then another on the 22nd when Theodore came to town—another doubled scoreboard with the Cobras taking a 6-3 win.
