The Christmas Spirit may be down a little bit this year due to the pandemic, but with a little help from Santa, the residents of Carlyle got a bit of a lift in their spirits.
On December 12, Santa Claus made his rounds. He was able to visit each and every house and visited the Moose Mountain Lodge twice to chat with the residents.
鈥淢y heart is overflowing! It was something very special to see the smiles of young and old alike. No one was sad to see Santa that day鈥 stated Jen Sedor, the librarian at the Carlyle Public Library.
Sedor would like to give a special thank you to The Carlyle Public Library, Town of Carlyle crew, Merit Ford, Carlyle GM, The Dickens Village Festival, the Town of Carlyle-RM of Moose Mountain No. 63 fire department and of course to Santa himself for bringing joy to everyone in the town.
鈥淚t has been a different year for sure! But thankfully there are those in our community who have brought some extra cheers to those in need,鈥 Sedor says.
Sedor wanted to remind everyone also that Dec. 18 is the deadline to submit Christmas cards to the library for delivery to the nursing home. Cards can be addressed to a specific resident or just be a kind note.
