聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 Retiring Town of Carlyle Superintendent of Public Works, Peter Robertson was honoured at a celebratory lunch at the Carlyle Civic Centre, Thursday, June 15 by members of council and his colleagues, past and present.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Robertson - who has served the Town of Carlyle for 27 years - was lauded for both his exemplary service and his sense of humour.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Former Town Administrator Huguette Lutz - filling in for Mayor Wayne Orsted - said: 鈥淚t's a privilege to say farewell to a wonderful colleague and friend.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淧eter, we've all had a lot of fun working with you over the years,鈥 she added. 鈥淎nd I think the entire staff would agree with me when I say that you being able to make people laugh in the most dire situations is one of the best things about working with you.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淵ou've been a loyal employee of the Town of Carlyle and I know the council, your fellow employees, and residents of Carlyle all really appreciate what you've done in helping Carlyle move forward. 鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Robertson's replacement, Todd Thompson, said of his former boss; 鈥淚t's been a pleasure, Pete. I hope I'm half as good at the job as you are. Thank you for the support; you've been a great mentor and friend.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淵ou've left pretty big shoes to fill.鈥
