UPDATE: Regina police have arrested and charged two teens in connection with a weekend incident involving bear spray at the Queen City Ex, seizing both the can of mace and a BB-gun from the suspects.
At approximately 6 p.m. on Saturday, patrol officers at the event responded after several patrons reported that bear mace had been sprayed into the air on the east end of the midway.
Several victims of all ages showed symptoms of being maced, including irritation of the eyes, nose and throat and runny noses. Some victims attended the first-aid tent at the event for treatment, while others left the area.
RPS said that they spoke with three victims who chose not to provide statements, and that officers were unable to locate everyone affected due to a "raid dispersal of crowds leaving the area."
During investigation, two young males were detained by event security staff following the incident and held until police arrived. A search of their persons found a can of bear spray and a Glock-styled BB gun.
The teens cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Regina Police did share that one 15-year-old male has been charged with possession of a weapon (BB gun) for purpose dangerous to public peace, breach of undertaking, and mischief under $5,000.
A second male youth, 13, was charged with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (bear spray), mischief under $5,000, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Both youths made a first appearance in Youth Court this morning.

REGINA — Regina police are looking for any information relating to an incident involving bear mace that occurred at the Queen City Exhibition this weekend.
Police responded to a call on Saturday after reports of a weapons offence on the midway at the Exhibition grounds.
Reportedly, one group of teens was having an issue with another group, and one youth allegedly sprayed bear mace into the crowd.
“It is not known who the intended victims were,” said the report from the Regina Police Service.
The incident did inflict some injuries, which police say were minor.
Investigation into the altercation is still ongoing, said police, and anyone with information is asked to contact RPS at 1-305-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
