REGINA — A Regina man will be heading to court next month after providing a falsified criminal record check to a non-profit organization during a job application.
The 35-year-old man, who remains unidentified until his court appearance, was arrested on Jan. 11 following a report made to the Regina Police Service on Dec. 15.
The non-profit suspected that the criminal record check provided by the individual during an employment request may have been altered, prompting investigation.
Police determined that the document was fraudulent, having been made to look as though it was issued by the RPS.
The individual has since been charged with one count of using a forged document and will appear in court on Feb. 22.
