聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 The Redvers SARCAN Recycling Depot has been awarded a very special title; they are the 2016 Large Depot winners of the Customer Service award.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Designated secret shoppers visit SARCAN depots across Saskatchewan and rate their overall experience there including accuracy, cleanliness, and customer service, while one depot in each category: small depot, medium depot, large depot, and extra-large depot, earns the title of Depot of the Year.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Robert Madsen 鈥 the depot supervisor 鈥 has been in his position for two years and Marsha Goforth 鈥 Redvers Activity Centre CEO 鈥 remembers the first day she spoke to Madsen about the position: 鈥淗e said it was going to be his mission to win all four awards and this is the first one of many.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Madsen added, 鈥淚 don鈥檛 think we鈥檝e done anything differently in our customer service, even when it鈥檚 crazy in here I believe we do a good job, we鈥檙e just finally being recognized for our efforts.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Goforth continued, 鈥淲e have a good team here. They鈥檙e friendly staff that complements each other well, and I would agree, they haven鈥檛 been doing anything differently, they鈥檙e just being recognized for it with this.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 For the 2016 year there were four full-time staff and three casual staff that contributed to earning the award including Francois Meyer, Cauntay Lonechild, Preston Moore, Dean Shillington, Brent Churchill, Lori Aalbers, and Robert Madsen.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淪ARCAN falls under our [Redvers Activities Centre] umbrella, but I don鈥檛 always get to see the day to day here,鈥 Goforth says. 鈥淏ut, I鈥檝e been there for 10 years and have been CEO for two years. Under Roberts leadership there鈥檚 a great sense of camaraderie and teamwork that has blossomed. I鈥檓 really proud of the staff here.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Madsen smiled adding, 鈥淚 have an amazing staff here. I couldn鈥檛 ask for better staff.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 With the excitement of winning the award, the Redvers SARCAN is also excited to be introducing a Drop and Go system, which allows customers the opportunity to drop off their recycling and go without having to stand in line.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲hen it鈥檚 busy here, it can take a long time to get through the line,鈥 Madsen explained. 鈥淧eople from as far away as Arcola and Fairlight are coming here, so this is something SARCAN is introducing and it鈥檚 a great idea.鈥
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 This is why Redvers has the designation of a Large Depot, which is en par to other SARCAN鈥檚 like Weyburn, because of the large area the depot services.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 With one award down, Madsen will continue towards his goal of earning all four while supervisor at the depot.
