We are only a few days away from the 4th Redvers & District Oil Showcase and Dinner on May 10-11th, 2012. The Showcase organizing committeehave been hard at work to ensure that industry representatives in the area are aware of this event and its potential to improve their business. The Showcase organizing committee is made up of representatives from the Energy Sector within the district - all with different backgrounds and in various different positions, which helps to ensure diversity within the show.
The response for this year's show has been such that we've never seen for any of the previous shows - mainly due to the increased activity the area has seen in the Bakken play over the last few years. The best place to be is in the middle of the Bakken! Redvers is located right in the middle of this activity and we are hoping this show will create a new awareness about the oil industry in SE Sk and SW Mb and all of the businesses touched by this booming industry. We are also extremely pleased with the amount of exposure that Redvers and the surrounding District have gained by hosting this event. We are hoping that the event will create new economic opportunities and awareness of the area.
Organization of this event has been a great experience, we have received nothing but positive response from the industry players, and the support from the community has been overwhelming.
Set-up for outdoor booths will begin Wed afternoon, and inside booths on Thursday morning at 8a.m. then the doors open to the public for the trade show at noon. The Arts Centre volunteers will be serving lunch from 11:30a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (and coffee from 9am-3pm). We will be having Enform present a learning session after lunch on Thursday as well, where they will be discussing current occupational health and safety matters within the Saskatchewan petroleum sector. The tradeshow will be closed at 4p.m. and the roast beef & pork supper will be served at 6:00 p.m. Our guest speaker after the sold out dinner is Patrick Ward, President & CEO of Painted Pony Petroleum Ltd. And to wrap up the evening of the first day we will have comedians from "Puck 'n Funny" entertain us. The second day will start out with an exhibitor breakfast at 7:30a.m. and the show will again be open to the public at 10a.m. and go until 4p.m. Lunch will again be served by a volunteer committee, this time from the Redvers Daycare and after lunch Enbridge will be presenting on their SE Sask operations.

The trade show is open to the public FREE of charge on Thursday from noon- 4:00 p.m & Friday 10a.m.-4p.m. on the Skating rink surface at the Redvers Rec. Centre. The dinner is being held in the curling rink at 6:00 p.m. Exhibitor space as well as the dinner are 100% sold out, so make sure you come and check out the show to see all there is to offer. There will be nearly 150 inside and outside exhibits to enjoy!
An industry event such as "The Redvers & District Oil Showcase" allows professionals much needed one-on-one networking opportunities.
