SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN - The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure's Highway Hotline is reporting reduced visibility Monday morning for highways in the southeast.
Some routes in the Carlyle area have reduced visibility due to drifting and swirling snow. Other highways in the southeast report that winter conditions exist due to blowing snow, but the visibility is better.
There is also reduced visibility on Highway 1 from Whitewood to the Manitoba border.
An extreme cold warning remains in effect for southeast Saskatchewan, due to the frigid temperatures and the strong winds that have been prevalent in the region since Thursday. Wind chills have been below -50 C at times. .
