The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP received 44 calls for service over the week of Sept. 13 to 19.
Abandoned Vehicle
An abandoned vehicle was reported in a parking lot along Hwy 13. The vehicle had been parked for over a week and was removed.
Animal Call
Reports of cows at large near Arcola were called in. RCMP attended, but the cows had already been wrangled back into their corral.
Assault
An assault was reported in the Carlyle area, though the complainant declined to pursue charges against the assailant.
Assistance
There was a request to locate an individual wanted on a warrant was received. The warrant had been executed by someone else already when the RCMP located the individual.
A call of assistance in recovering property at a residence in the Carlyle area was requested. The assistance was effective and no incidents occurred.
Assistance was required in the Carlyle area when an individual was able to smell gas outside of their residence. The matter was referred to the White Bear Fire Department. There were no further calls regarding the smell.
An inquiry to locate an individual following a fight between two parties was called in. The woman being inquired about safely returned later.
Breach of peace
A breach of the peace in Arcola occurred when an intoxicated individual was causing problems. The parties involved agreed to separate for the night.
Counterfeit money
A counterfeit $50 bill was reported. This matter is currently under investigation.
Disturbances
RCMP were called regarding a disturbance of the peace in the Carlyle area. An individual was attempting to kick in the door of a residence that they did not reside in.
Mischief calls originated in Wawota where individuals had been driving through fields, damaging crops. Another occurrence of mischief took place in the Carlyle area where damage was done to a vehicle. Both cases are under investigation.
False Alarms
Three false alarms were responded to during this time. The first was to a business in Wawota, which was found to be secure. The second involved a building at Kenosee Lake where the alarm sounded due to the weather. Finally an Arcola business alarm went off. Members responded and found the building was secure.
Forcible Confinement
Complaint of a forcible confinement at Kenosee Lake was reported to RCMP. The call was determined to be unfounded.
Driving infractions
An impaired driver was reported near Carlyle, but RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle. There was a possible impaired driver in the Carlyle area, but RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.
A hit and run took place at the White Bear Lake Resort. The matter is still under investigation.
A 28-year-old male was charged $230 for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Near Redvers a 30-year-old male was caught speeding and ticketed $137.
An erratic driver was reported near Wawota. No details of the vehicle were given to police.
Near Carlyle a semi was reported for driving erratically. RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.
On Hwy 13 near Carlyle a report of a possible impaired driver was reported. The vehicle was not located.
There was a complaint of a vehicle failing to yield at a yield sign in Arcola. No licence was obtained and members were unable to follow up on the complaint for lack of information.
A report of a hit and run at Kenosee Lake was reported. The vehicle having been struck was a white Jeep Patriot.
Traffic collision
A traffic collision occurred near Carlyle. A vehicle hit a cow. No one was injured, but the cow did have to be put down.
Liquor infractions
A 17-year-old female in the Carlyle area was charged for possessing/consuming liquor as a minor and received a ticket for $360.
In Manor an intoxicated male was found walking around. The individual was given a ride home.
A 19-year-old male was ticketed $360 for consuming alcohol while in a vehicle.
Fraud
In Redvers a complaint was brought forth regarding another person having the same social security number as the caller with the former collecting benefits. This matter is under investigation.
A complaint of false pretenses was reported in Redvers. The matter is still under investigation, which involved a non-sufficient funds (NFS) cheque.
Theft
A report of a theft in Carlyle was called in. This matter is still under investigation.
There was a theft of a trailer from Manor during this time as well, which remains under investigation.
In Arcola there was a report of a theft of a dog. Later the animal was located inside of the house.
Theft of tools and equipment in Wawota was reported. RCMP determined the issue was a civil matter.
Theft of a golf cart at the White Bear Lake course was reported. Members are investigating this crime.
In Redvers there was a theft of a quad. The matter is still under investigation.
A theft of a driver's licence was reported in the Carlyle area. Currently there are no leads regarding who the thief is.
Other Calls
Charges were laid on a 35-year-old man who failed to attend for fingerprinting in Carlyle.
Near Carlyle a suspicious vehicle was reported. RCMP located the vehicle and identified the occupants. There was no further issue involving them.
A report of three children playing with a paintball gun was called in. Upon inspection RCMP found the youth had an air soft gun, which is legal, and they were all wearing safety equipment.
