The Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 44 calls to service between Friday, Jan. 10 and Thursday, Jan. 16.
911 calls
A 911 call was placed by a family in the Carlyle area as a child's head had become stuck between rails. The child was unstuck.
In Redvers a child dialed 911 and the mother was very apologetic explaining she would speak with the youth.
Abandoned vehicles
An abandoned vehicle was reported on Hwy 9. The owner eventually moved it.
In Arcola an abandoned vehicle was located. There was a considerable pool of oil below it and RCMP determined it had broken down.
Near Manor an abandoned vehicle was towed.
There was an abandoned vehicle reported near Carlyle.
Animal call
A dog was at large in Carlyle. The dog's owner was spoken with about the town's bylaws requiring animals to be on leashes.
Assault
An assault in Arcola was reported, but the complainant didn't want to pursue charges.
Assistance to the public
Assistance to Regina Police Services was given in regards to a hit and run report.
Regina Police Services also requested for the Carlyle detachment to interview an individual.
In the Carlyle area RCMP were asked to assist the public when someone was yelling and drinking heavily in a house. The mother and children were taken to a different residence.
Assistance was given to an individual in Redvers regarding a mental health issue. RCMP were called back for this same reason later in the week as well.
An individual stopped by the detachment to inquire about the steps to apply for custody of their children.
There was a cell phone reported as being lost.
In the Carlyle area there was a request for RCMP to assist with a mental health act. Members attended the residence, but found there was no issue.
Requests to locate individuals in the Carlyle area were also brought forth to the RCMP. One request in the Carlyle area resulted in the location of the individual at his home. The second request also found the individual in question being located safely.
Sudden death
The sudden death of a 38-year-old female was attended by RCMP in the Carlyle area.
Driving infractions
A dangerous driver was reported in Redvers, but the vehicle was not located.
An impaired 26-year-old male driver near Carlyle was charged. There was also a 23-year-old male during this time charged for impaired driving.
A 60-year-old female was charged $580 for operating an unlicensed vehicle.
A speeding ticket was issued near Manor to a 28-year-old male who was fined $135. A 24-year-old female was issued a speeding ticket of $150 near Carlyle. A 23-year-old male was fined $150 near Wauchope.
A 26-year-old female was issued a ticket for $175 in Redvers for not wearing their seatbelt.
In Carlyle a ticket of $115 was given to a 26-year-old male for tinted windows.
Failure to attend court
A 30-year-old male failed to attend court. He has been charged and is now wanted by the RCMP.
False alarm
A false alarm at a residence in Carlyle was set off by accident.
There was a second false alarm during this time. It was to a business in Carlyle and the cause is unknown.
Snowmobile accident
An injured snowmobile rider near Manor was taken to hospital for treatment.
Theft
Theft in the RM of Reciprocity was reported. An ex-employee took cash out of an account without permission.
The theft of a snowmobile in Carlyle was reported. An orange Arctic Cat Crossfire 800 was taken.
Traffic collisions
There was a motor vehicle collision with a moose along Hwy 13 near Redvers.
A traffic hazard near Kisbey on Hwy 13 was reported. A box cap for a truck was sitting on the road, but the individual who reported the incident explained it was now in the ditch after they hit it.
A semi rolled onto its side when turning from Hwy 13 onto Hwy 9 after their load shifted as they took the corner too quickly.
A traffic collision took place on Hwy 13 near Carlyle. A 70-year-old female was charged with undue care and attention.
A hit and run was reported in Redvers where a 2011 white Ford 350 Superduty was struck.
A two vehicle collision which resulted in one vehicle lightly striking a power pole was attended.
A rollover near Arcola was reported, but there were no injuries.
There was a two vehicle collision in Redvers which is still under investigation.
Other calls to service
A possible fraud in Arcola is being investigated.
Mischief in the Carlyle area was reported. A 47-year-old female was charged in relation to damaging a residence.
An intoxicated individual called to report their vehicle had been taken. RCMP advised the caller to rest and readdress the issue the following day when sober. There were no further calls regarding this matter.
