RCMP report: Feb. 28 to March 6

Between Feb. 28 and March 6, the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to 60 calls. 911 calls A 911 open line was found to have been children playing with the phone in Carlyle. This call contained no emergency.

Between Feb. 28 and March 6, the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP responded to 60 calls.

911 calls

A 911 open line was found to have been children playing with the phone in Carlyle. This call contained no emergency.

The next 911 call involved someone blacking out in the Carlyle area according to the caller. Upon investigating no one admitted to making the phone call and no one was injured, so it was decided no one was in need of help.

In the Carlyle area there was a 911 hang up call, it was determined there was no emergency.

Abandoned vehicles

North of Carlyle an abandoned vehicle was reported, but when members looked into it the vehicle was already gone.

An abandoned vehicle was found which had slid into the ditch in the Carlyle area and was removed.

False alarms

There was a false alarm in Arcola determined to have been the result of issues with the door.

At Kenosee Lake an alarm at a business sounded, but members are unsure of the cause.

There was also a false alarm to Moose Mountain Provincial Park, which was cleared before members could attend.

Assaults

Three assaults occurred in the Carlyle area. Two of these incidents the complainant declined to pursue charges, while the third matter resulted in a 45-year-old to be charged.

Assistance

A request for assistance came from Winnipeg for the RCMP to provide a notification to someone in Manor.

Assistance was given to SPCA in Redvers where there was a complaint of a dog being left out. This was not the case however.

RCMP assisted an individual in the Carlyle area twice under the Mental Health Act.

Assistance was given for the seizure of a vehicle in Carlyle.

A request to locate an individual was received, the RCMP found this individual safely in Regina.

Theft

Near Carlyle there was a report of theft at a business where tires were stolen.

Theft under $5,000 was reported in Redvers. The pocket book reported as missing was later located.

A report of theft of a cell phone in the Carlyle area was reported and was later returned.

Failing to comply

An individual was found failing to comply to an undertaking, which resulted in a 31-year-old male being arrested for using computer equipment when he wasn't supposed to be.

When a 23-year-old male didn't show for court a warrant was issued.

A 22-year-old male was arrested for failing to comply with conditions of release.

Driving infractions

A report of an individual failing to remain at an accident in Carlyle where a fence was run over is currently under investigation.

Two possibly impaired drivers were reported in Carlyle and the Carlyle area, but the vehicles were not located. A third driver was reported during this time and was found, but the vehicle was parked.

On Hwy 48 near Wawota a 61-year-old male was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

In Manor a 43-year-old male was charged for refusing to provide a breath sample.

A report of an individual driving without a licence in Carlyle was reported; the vehicle was located but it was parked, the individual was not caught driving.

On Hwy 13 near Kisbey there was a report of an erratic driver. The vehicle was located and a woman was charged.

There was a complaint in Arcola of people parking in the handicap parking space illegally.

Concern was also raised of a vehicle parked in Carlyle at a school, which was thought to be blocking the road.

A hit and run was reported as possibly happening in Carlyle where a gray Ford Escape was hit.

An erratic driver was reported near Redvers and is under investigation.

A traffic hazard was reported near Forget where a trailer unit was left on the side of the highway. It was later removed.

Mischief

Mischief in the Carlyle area was reported when an individual refused to leave a residence, but the complainant declined laying charges.

A report of damage to a vehicle in Redvers was reported.

Also in the Carlyle area were intoxicated people at a residence who were gone upon police arrival.

The final call of mischief resulted from the discovery of an individual damaging a vehicle.

Vehicle collisions

A motor vehicle collision (MVC) took place across from the Co-op in Arcola. There were no injuries.

There was a traffic collision near Arcola reported which saw a 20-year-old male charged for driving with undue care and attention.

Speeding tickets

Eight speeding tickets were given out. Near Manor a 44-year-old male was fined $208; a 17-year-old male near Arcola was ticketed $220; at Carlyle a 29-year-old male was fined $139; two tickets were issued along Hwy 9 north of Carlyle, one was to a 53-year-old male for $220 and the other was to a 35-year-old male for $186; a 23-year-old male was ticketed $184 in Arcola; near Carlyle a 28-year-old male was fined $138; and north of Carlyle a 19-year-old male was ticketed $139.

Suspicious calls

A suspicious phone call was made to an individual in the Carlyle area, which was followed up with the number. Everything was fine.

There was a suspicious vehicle reported as being parked at the health centre. Members attended, but the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

Another suspicious vehicle was located, this time in Carlyle, which is currently under investigation. RCMP have their plate number and are following up.

Other calls

There were two separate reports of uttering threats. The first saw the complainant refuse to lay charges, while the second complaint is currently under investigation.

In Manor, a camper was searched and a large bag of marijuana was found, this is currently under investigation.

There was a family custody of children disagreement in Arcola, it was found that there was no agreement in place and suggested something be created.

Complaint of harassing phone calls were reported to individuals in both Wawota and Kisbey. In Wawota the calls were found to be from a telemarketer, while a bunch of kids in Kisbey were responsible for the calls there.

There was a call the Carlyle area where an individual was causing a disturbance. The caller would call back to say they didn't want the police to attend.
