The Carlyle RCMP detachment responded to several calls to service from Thursday, July 12 to the morning of Thursday, July 19.
听听听听听听听听听听听 911/False alarms
听听听听听听听听听听听 Several calls came in from a business that was false alarms but police are obligated to respond to all 911 calls. 鈥淔alse alarms are common during weather changes due to computer glitches,鈥 said Darren Simons the staff Sergeant at the Carlyle detachment.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Assault calls
听听听听听听听听听听听 There were two assault calls in the Carlyle area, with charges laid in one case.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Animal call
听听听听听听听听听听听 RCMP was notified of a calf wondering on the road, the calf could not be located. 鈥淥ur idea is that calf Mooooved along, or realized the grass wasn鈥檛 greener on the other side of the fence,鈥 said Simons.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Indecent Exposure
听听听听听听听听听听听 Police responded several times to a call in Redburn about an intoxicated man exposing himself on his front lawn. He was arrested and charged.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Sexual Assault
听听听听听听听听听听听 聽There were two sexual assault calls. One sexual assault call in the Carlyle area is still being investigated. The second sexual assault call in Carlyle resulted in charges.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A break and enter call to a residence in Wawota is still under investigation. 鈥淭he door was kicked in and we are not sure if anything was stolen at this time,鈥 said Simons. A second call came in of a possible attempted B&E to a business in the Carlyle area but there was no evidence to be able to determine a suspect.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Missing Persons
听听听听听听听听听听听 There were several calls of sightings of missing persons Ruby Barnes, all have been investigated and found not to have been her except for one call where she had been spotted in Regina, and it is still under investigation.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Mischief
听听听听听听听听听听听 Several calls of mischief were reported. One call was in the Carlyle area, a person was reported to have been throw objects around in a residence. This call was resolved by engaging Yorkton Tribal Family Services. In Redburn there had been a call of a person knocking on numerous camper doors. In Kisbey the persons disturbing a residence fled before police arrived. A person in Kenosee Lake area reported damage to his fence from a neighbor. it was determined a civil matter. Lines to a vehicle were cut in the Carlyle area causing damage to the vehicle.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A call was placed about a fraudulent check that was written and that had not had sufficient funds when cashed.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Impaired Driving
听听听听听听听听听听听 A man was arrested in Wawota for driving an ATV impaired; he was tested for blood-alcohol level and twice was found to have 1.9mg. That is more than twice the legal limit which is .80mg, after exceeding the limit of 1.6mg it鈥檚 considered and aggrivated act.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A call was placed about concern for a child鈥檚 welfare, the situation was resolved.

听听听听听听听听听听听 Motor Vehicle and Traffic Related
听听听听听听听听听听听 In a call of dangerous driving, the driver was determined to be fit and had not known the reason for the call. A second call for erratic driving was made and police could not locate the vehicle, 鈥淏ut we appreciate all calls,鈥 said Simmons. There were nine incidents of vehicles including trailers without proper registration or insurance, not all resulted in charges. There were two warnings for window tints, four for cracked windshields, six for no seat belts, one for having no mud flaps, and several for obstructed license plates. Some of these resulted in fines.

听听听听听听听听听听听 A man with a criminal code driver鈥檚 license suspension was found operating a vehicle. His vehicle was impounded and he was released from custody with a promise to appear in court.
听听听听听听听听听听听 Vehicle Fire
听听听听听听听听听听听 In Carlyle police responded to a vehicle fire that was determined to be electrical. 鈥淲e get more vehicle fires than we did 50 years ago I would think due to more electronics in the vehicles,鈥 said Simons.
