The Carlyle RCMP detachment handled 53 calls from Nov. 7 to 13.
Nov. 7
There was a complaint of suspicious people near White Bear Lake Resort. The call was cancelled after the caller could no longer find the kids, who were the subject of complaint. RCMP members made patrols anyways, but did not find any kids.
A seatbelt ticket was issued in Carlyle.
Police assisted with a domestic matter in Manor.
Members at the detachment assisted Regina Police Service by arresting an individual who turned himself in. He was later released on a promise-to-appear in court in Regina.
Police received a call regarding stray horses. The caller had rounded up the horses and kept them in a pasture. The owner wanted assistance in retrieving the horses, but she was informed she had to speak with the municipality which seized them under the stray animals act.
There was a 911 call from a resident in the area who advised she was not at home and asked members to check on her house as she had been given information someone was staying in her house without permission. Members attended and found all the doors were locked and it did not appear anyone had been there.
Police were informed of a trespasser, though the complainant did not want to press any charges.
There was a report of a suspicious person near Carlyle. It sounded like people were outside shooting guns. Members attended and made patrols, but were unable to locate anyone.
Nov. 8
There was a complaint of a man camping in a small camper in Carlyle where he was not allowed to camp. Members spoke to the individual and as a result of speaking to police, the individual moved his camper.
Police received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle at the Bear Claw Casino. The vehicle was towed. Attempts made to contact the registered owner have been unsuccessful.
There were two trailer legs reported stolen from an oilfield site near Carlyle.
There were a number of vehicles reported to have been vandalized in Redvers. The vehicles had been parked on Souris Street. There were at least five vehicles that were scratched. Police conducted a neighbourhood survey, but no one saw anything. Police continue to investigate.
There was a motor vehicle collision with a deer reported near Redvers. There was major damage to the front of the vehicle which caused it to have to be towed.
Nov. 9
Police received a call that a white Alero parked on the road leading into the garbage dumb had expired plates. The registered owner was contacted who then advised police the car would be moved when the key holder came home.
A seatbelt ticket was issued to a female in Wawota.
There was a front window and track assembly stolen from a track hoe in the Moose Creek RM area. It had been parked on the side of the road to do some work.
Police received a complaint from a caller who said another motorist was making him fear for his safety. The subject of the complaint, a 23-year-old male, was charged with stunting and driving without reasonable consideration of others.
Nov. 10.
There was a report of young people being in a 19 and over establishment in Arcola. The caller asked police to check the bar. Members have been advised.
Police received a complaint of mischief to a vehicle that was parked at the school in Redvers. The vehicle had been scratched. This investigation is continuing.
Police received a 911 call regarding a vehicle that was speeding and driving unsafely near Arcola. A patrol was made but police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Police received a complaint of an NSF cheque. This matter is still being investigated.
The detachment received a request from Regina Police Services to locate two individual who was on warrants.
Nov. 11
Police received a false alarm from a business in Arcola.
A 19-year-old was reported missing by her family in the area. It was resolved when she returned home.
Police are investigating an assault that occurred in the area.
There was a single vehicle accident in the area. There were no injuries and the vehicle was still driveable.
There was a motor vehicle accident with a deer reported from the Kisbey area. The vehicle was still driveable. The deer was still alive so members were dispatched.
There was a 911 call regarding a car that was heading south from Good Birds Point toward Carlyle and was pushing vehicles over to the side of the road. This file was not updated at press time.
There was a false alarm from a business in the area.
The detachment received a call from someone at a detachment in Manitoba who informed they had received a call about a possible accident near Carlyle. The call was disconnected. This file was not updated at press time.
Police received a call of an assault that occurred in the area. Members attended and upon investigation learned that no assault took place.
Nov. 12
There was a complaint of an assault in the area.
A 43-year-old male was charged with not wearing a seatbelt in Carlyle.
A 41-year-old woman was charged with not wearing a seatbelt in Wawota.
Police received a complaint that a vehicle was being chased by other vehicles in the Redvers area. The caller later informed police the vehicles had left and were leaving him alone.
There was a complaint that someone was driving an orange quad in Redvers. The person calling was concerned that the person driving was disqualified from driving. Police continue to investigate.
The detachment received notification of a liquor permit in Carlyle.
Members attended to a 911call with loud voices between men and women originating in the area. When they arrived, police were informed the subjects of complaint were leaving.
There was a 911 misdial. This was from Wawota.
There was a residential alarm from Carlyle, which turned out to be false.
There was a complaint of an assault that occurred in the area. Members attended but the complainant was nowhere to be found. Members were able to contact her by phone and the investigation ensued. A 33-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault and breach of probation. He will be attending court.
Nov. 13
Police received a call of a possible impaired driver in the area. This file was not updated at press time.
There was a report of a hit and run that occurred in Arcola. The passenger side of the cab had a large dent. This matter is still under investigation.
