My name is Emily Klatt. I was born and raised in Carlyle, but for the past few years I’ve been living in Saskatoon, attending the University of Saskatchewan. I have completed the course work for my undergraduate degree in English.
I started working in journalism at the U of S student newspaper, the Sheaf. From there I moved on to spend time working at CBC Saskatchewan and most recently, the Brandon Sun newspaper where I covered the COVID-19 pandemic.
My very first job in the newspaper industry was stuffing flyers at the Observer and so it’s fitting that my life has led me back here, but this time as a journalist.
I’ve always loved to tell stories and I feel very lucky to be able to do so in my hometown. Thank you for letting me share the news with your community.
