Woody Holler grew up in Manitoba and as he experienced country music at a young age developed a love for music. Taking to classic country music he began yodelling as a youth, hearing his first tunes from family friends.
The beginnings of his love for this music came from listening to Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Jimmy Rodgers, and Bob Wills.
Over the years he developed a love for different styles of music and found himself creating country music influenced by jazz, leading to his own western swing style.
In 2009 Holler found himself amongst a group of musicians who were interested in performing together. Having found his orchestra they went on to create their first album, Western Skies, the following year.
The orchestra is made up of Greg Lowe on guitar, Richard Moody on the violin, and Daniel Koulack on the double bass.
The group produces rich music together and on Wednesday, Oct. 29, they will be celebrating the release of their new album in Carlyle at the Carlyle Memorial Theatre.
Cornerstone Theatre is presenting the evening of entertainment. Tickets are available at The Pearl Boutique on Main Street. They are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, while children's tickets are $10.
