Manor's Beaudacious Salon hosted its first annual Movember Men's night on Thursday, Nov. 27, in an effort to 鈥淒o something kind of fun to help raise awareness about men's health,鈥� says owner Jennie Beaudet.
Beaudet and stylist Hayley Englot offered complimentary moustache and beard trims, refreshments and door prizes. 鈥淲e wanted to put a fun twist on a serious issue,鈥� says Beaudet. 鈥淚t's such a touchy subject for guys. We want to help raise awareness. It's a cause that's very dear to both of us.鈥�
鈥淭his is our first time holding an event like this and we want to make it an annual event,鈥� she added.
Movember is an annual event held during the month of November. Men grow moustaches and beards to raise awareness of聽 and funds supporting men's physical and mental health issues, such as prostate cancer and other male cancers, as well as depression and anxiety.
