MOOSOMIN - The Moosomin RCMP has issued an arrest warrant for a Winnipeg man in connection with incidents earlier this month.
On Oct. 10, the Moosomin RCMP assisted their counterparts in Virden, Man., by trying to locate the suspects of a gas-and-go from the Virden detachment area. Moosomin members located a red Chrysler 300 and a Buick Enclave travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 8 south of Moosomin.
The suspects evaded members' efforts to pull them over. The Buick Enclave was abandoned in Moosomin and the suspects fled the area in the red Chrysler 300. The Moosomin detachment seized the Buick Enclave and had it processed by the RCMP Forensic Identification Unit.
As a result of the investigation, the Moosomin RCMP has charged 36-year-old Tristan Antonio Provinciano from Winnipeg with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and flight from police. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
He is described as weighing approximately 200 pounds and standing six feet in height, with brown hair and brown eyes.
RCMP investigation has determined that Provinciano may be in possession of a firearm and he is not to be approached. If you see him or the Chrysler 300 with Manitoba licence plate LGR 124, please contact your local RCMP or police service immediately, or call 911.
