The annual Moose Mountain Ag Day will be back in the area soon, with another wonderful line-up of speakers and trade representatives.

Taking place in Arcola, at the Prairie Place Hall, the latest Ag day will feature a number of industry speakers on Tuesday, Feb. 8.

With the trade show and registration kicking off at 8:30 a.m. the first speaker to climb the podium will be Larry Weber, taking the plunge at 9:30 a.m.

Larry Weber, the proprietor of Weber Commodities Ltd. will take some time to provide information in his presentation titled, 'Grain Market Update.'

With a long and colourful history in the futures commodities market, Weber's expertise in these uncertain market conditions will help you come to a fuller understanding of the forces affecting the market, and how you as a producer and most benefit from it.

Following a short coffee break at 10:45 a.m. the stage will be taken by Joshua Dukart.

A member of the Burleigh Country Soil Conservations District, Dukart will share his knowledge of holistic land management approaches in a talk titled, 'Enhancing Soil health with Cover Crops.'

A certified educator in the field of holistic management practices, this North Dakota native will share some important pointers about soil conservation methodologies, as well as some of the most up-to-date thinking about biologically diverse cropping management.

Following lunch, a presentation from the members of Canada Gold Beef Inc. of Calgary will share some thoughts on consumer driven, customer-focused methods of value-added marketing.

Based on the experiences of the organization, the Canada Gold Beef system allows for individual producers to improve their fiscal outcomes through a series of initiatives and efforts that allow small groups of like-minded producers to tread the ground usually reserved for large-scale corporate producers.

The finale for the day will be the presentation, 'Beef Market Update,' but Beef Link market strategist Brenda Schoepp.

Schoepp, who has been involved with the beef market and production for more than 30 years, is also the owner of the highly regarded producer periodical, 'Beeflink.'

The Moose Mountain Ag Day is open to all, however pre-registration is requested.

Tickets are available at $25 each.
