Maryfield Sunrise Villa News

Another year has come and gone and we are trying to get back to the old, "new" normal. New Year’s was celebrated with special foods including kabobs, crackers, cheese balls, shrimp surprise and a glass of punch to toast the new year.

Another year has come and gone and we are trying to get back to the old, "new" normal. New Year’s was celebrated with special foods including kabobs, crackers, cheese balls, shrimp surprise and a glass of punch to toast the new year.

Some special headwear was sported by some of our vIlla family and again we say "thank you.â€

Decorations are slowly coming down, making us realize it's time to move on. Thank you for the support of our two fundraisers, totaling $264. Happy New Year to all, and may all our wishes for better things come true.

Although we're not very active at this time, we still put in our hours each doing our own thing like puzzles, word searches, Sudoku, etc.

Some of us join together in a game of Rummy any time of the day or evening. It's fun and keeps our minds working. Whenever we are lucky enough to have a piano player to accompany us, we enjoy singing together. Judy Skiba has been very helpful in that area.

As you are aware, we are not allowed any visitors at this time but we are very fortunate to be able to contact family and friends via telephone. It helps our morale to keep in touch. I must tell you about the hours Betty Walker spends colouring pictures and she has them displayed on the wall in the east hallway. When visiting is back to normal, I encourage you to drop by to admire her talents – she is very gifted.

The staff Is required to wear masks during their working hours and they certainly follow the rules - thank you for your caring and protection.

No visitors are allowed in the villa. Will we ever have things back to normal?
