Every other year, the Redvers Ag Ex Trade Show – touted as one of the best trade shows in southeast Saskatchewan – is set for Tuesday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý This year they will feature agricultural displays, environmental information, and new/innovative crop technology; but, it also features home and leisure booths as well as lifestyle booths. There’s something to be found for everyone who attends at the Redvers Rec Centre.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Speaking this year includes Geoff Brown – an instructor at Lakeland College, in Vermillion, AB, and owner/operator of a small ranch – who will talk about livestock feed and cattle nutrition at 11 a.m.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Following Brown’s talk, Bruce Burnett will be welcomed at 1 p.m. to speak. Burnett is a weather and crop specialist with G3 Canada, thus he will address current crop and weather information for Western Canada, as well as global crop conditions.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Reaching out and helping to engage youth in agriculture, the Redvers Ag Ex will host children’s activities including Brian Chicoine’s petting zoo, face painting, and OneChurch bouncers. Agriculture in the Classroom will have interactive displays set up for youth to discover.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý Also attending will be the Alida 4H Beef Club, which will be demonstrating the care and grooming of calves.
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý The Carlyle RCMP have been slated to attend and bring with them the SGI Rollover demonstration.
