Two youths appeared in Estevan provincial court Thursday, facing several charges stemming from a vandalism spree in Estevan over the past number of weeks.Altogether, 15 charges have been laid against each teen - 12 counts of mischief for causing willful damage and three counts of theft. The two males, aged 15 and 16-years-old cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.The Crown agreed to the release of the teens from custody as along as they abide by a number of conditions, including that they keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and stay in their residences between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.The teens will be back in court on Aug. 12. According to the Estevan Police Service, investigation into the case is ongoing and more charges may be pending.In other news from Estevan provincial court: Blair Schad, 24, was in court Monday, facing a number of charges dating back to 2006. Schad pleaded guilty to all charges against him, the most serious of which was for possession of a large amount of marijuana. Sgt. Kevin Reed of the Estevan Police Service, representing the Crown, told the judge that in 2006 Schad and a co-accused were stopped en route to Estevan from Regina. When the vehicle was searched, police found two separate bags of marijuana - one containing 211 grams, the other containing 2.57 grams.It was noted that Schad spent six days in custody for the crime, for which he was granted $2,000 bail, and that he has stayed out of trouble since the incident. Schad, who now lives in Moose Jaw, and has a two-year-old son, who he lives with half-time, was ordered to pay fines of $800 for possession, $550 for an offence under the traffic safety act, plus a number of lesser charges. The Crown opposed the release of Jason Keith Titanich from custody Thursday. Titanich, who faces a number of drug-related charges, has been remanded until today, when he will appear in front of a federal prosecutor at Carlyle Provincial Court. Titanich faces charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with the purpose of trafficking and possession of marijuana under 30 grams.
