The latest storm resulted in a tragedy. Lightning struck a building located at Anderson Place in Carlyle at about 4:35 am on August 13 and set it on fire.
The big detached garage and living quarters ab0ve it were completely destroyed by the fire.
Fortunately, there were no injuries as a result.
