WEYBURN – Weyburn’s annual Twinkle Tour for 2021 will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, as a joint project by the Weyburn Kin Club and Weyburn Tourism.
Those who are interested in taking part in the driving tour around the city are asked to gather at the City Centre Mall parking lot at 7 p.m.
Motorists are asked to enter from Government Road, and the tour will leave at 7:30 p.m. on to Second Street, with a police escort around the city.
The tour will take in the entries to Weyburn Tourism’s Holiday Home Sparkle contest, as well as other residential light displays.
Those taking part are encouraged to stay in their vehicles as they take in the Christmas light displays and to practice social distancing, along with obeying all traffic laws, to keep everyone safe this holiday season.
Voting for people’s favourite light displays opened on Dec. 7 on Weyburn Tourism’s Facebook page, and will be open until Tuesday, Dec. 14.
The winner of the public’s voting will be announced on Dec. 15, and a map of all the entries for the Holiday Home Sparkle Tour will be available on Tourism’s Facebook page from Dec. 15 to Jan. 3.
