Wood brought up a few volunteers to demonstrate cooperation through playing a song with bells.

Manor School hosted Greg and his wife Oonaugh Wood on Friday, Oct. 12. Greg Wood is an illusionist by trade and Oonaugh his assistant. They reside in Winnipeg, but have performed shows around the world including the United States, India, Hong Kong, Mexico, and more during their 20 years of touring.

Not only is Wood an illusionist, but he teaches key character traits through his magic show as well making him a great guest speaker for the students. Present during the presentation were the elementary and middle year students.

Wood has been the winner of Winnipeg's Best Variety Act three times. He has also won Manitoba's Best Close-up Illusionist twice.

Through magic, humour, and storytelling Wood explained important life lessons to the youth. He spoke about bullying and being rude to others through a story. Everyone is unique and should be accepted for who they are as the moral of the story explained.

He spoke about honesty, trustworthiness, respect, kindness, valuing others for who they are and cooperation all through telling stories and performing magic tricks.

The youth were all amazed by the various feats performed by Wood.

"Whoa!" and "How did he do that?" were heard throughout the crowd as they sat and watched Wood perform. Making the youth laugh and think about what it means to be a good person; Wood's performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all present.
