听听听听听听听听 Motorists will see the precautionary signage warning that crews are in the area and posted speed limits of 60 kilometres will be in effect. There will be some delays to travelers and flag persons and pilot vehicles will be managing traffic flow during those wait times.

听听听听听听听听 The maintenance procedure is referred to as seal coating. The process coats the surface with an asphalt based emulsion, which is covered with an aggregate. This application is then rolled and allowed to cure before another layer of asphalt and sand is applied and rolled. Once this application has the necessary time to set, dependent on weather conditions, it is then swept and regular traffic flow can be resumed.

听听听听听听听听 Motorists should pay close attention to signage calling for reduced speeds allowing听 extra time for any travel using this route.

听听听听听听听听 Also included in the maintenance is 鈥渇ogging鈥 the shoulders. This process sees a binding agent applied to the roadway shoulder which bonds the surface, giving the pavement added longevity and reduced maintenance costs.

听听听听听听听听听听 The repairs are being done by ACP of Acheson, Alberta. More than 30 workers will be involved in the maintenance procedure that will repair the 55 kilometres at a cost of $2.4 million.
