Daryl Harrison was ready when the provincial election was called on Tuesday.

Harrison, who is the Saskatchewan Party’s candidate in the riding, was born and raised in the constituency of Cannington, and has a knowledgeable background and history, which makes him an excellent candidate for the Sask. Party.

A lifetime rancher with extensive work experience in the oilfield, he also served as a school division trustee for Souris Moose Mountain and Â鶹ÊÓƵ East Cornerstone Public School Divisions for 13 years.

Harrison currently sits as a RM councillor, Credit Union board member, Zone 1 Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association director and Lions Club member.

Since winning the nomination last year, Harrison states that he has been keeping in contact with the constituents regarding current affairs and issues. He also has continued to work in the oilfield, ranch with his family and attend his sons sporting activities.

Harrison states: “The nomination race gave me the opportunity to travel and visit with many people throughout the constituency. Through that process I was able to meet people in their home communities and hear their concerns and ideas.â€

Harrison also expects there will be a campaign office set up in Alida.

The Sask Party platform will be released during the writ period. Locally, though, Harrison says he plans to maintain a close relationship with locally elected councils and all the constituents of Cannington. He finishes by saying that he looks forward to meeting and talking to the people throughout the constituency.

If you would like to reach out, the phone number for the campaign office is 306-443-5000.

Dan D’Autremont, who was a long-time MLA for Cannington for the Sask. Party and before that, the Progressive Conservatives, announced in 2018 he would retire from provincial politics after the 2020 provincial election was called.
