Grad is coming up. The Class of 2017 would like to invite the community to share in the celebration of their graduation on Saturday, June 10, at 7:00PM, at the hockey rink. The class would also like to thank all the parents and businesses who helped out with the BBQ fundraiser last week and all the businesses and community members who purchased burgers and hot dogs. Thank you so much for your support!

On the weekend, Tucker Sharp, Gracie Schutz, Taylor Sargent, Jorja Bendtsen, and Karli Colpitts competed at the Provincial Track and Field Meet in Saskatoon. All the athletes were great representatives of their school and the 麻豆视频east District. They also had some impressive results. In the Midget Boys鈥� category, Tucker finished 9th in the 3000 m and 8th in the 1500 m. In the Junior Girls鈥� category, Gracie Schutz finished 8th in the 100m, 5th in the 400 m, 7th in the 200 m, and 6th in the 4 X 100 m. In the Senior Girls鈥� category, Jorja Bendtsen finished 9th in hurdles, and 10th in the 4 X 100 relay. Also in the Sr. Girls鈥� category, Karli Colpitts finished 18th in javelin, 9th in shot, and 2nd in discus. This means Karli will be bringing home another banner for the school. Way to go Coach Shelley Sargent and all of the athletes who qualified to compete at the provincial level!

The next School Community Council Meeting is June 14 at 6:00 PM at the elementary school. This is a potluck meeting. All parents are welcome to attend.
GFK School is beginning to look for volunteers for next year鈥檚 3A Girls鈥� Provincial听Volleyball Championships to be held November 17th and 18th. If interested, please contact Trent W. Johnson at GFK School.
