Again this year, the school will be collecting donations for the Carlyle and District Food Bank. Send your non-perishable food items to the school before Dec. 18. The classroom cohort with the most donations, per student, will win a complete sandwich lunch. The second and third place classroom cohorts will win frozen treats.

The Christmas break begins Dec. 19. Students return to school on Jan. 4, 2021. Have a safe and happy holiday.

Families play an important role in a student's education. In fact, they are our most important partner in learning. The Cornerstone at Home section of our division website is dedicated to the partnership between home, school, and community – connecting academic learning with physical, social and emotional wellness. You'll find links to the blog, videos, and family challenges, as well as links to school and community-based resources.

So go check it out on the website and follow Cornerstone at Home on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

A new reporting system called EDSBY has been rolled out for parents to use in order to see students’ attendance and marks. Its purpose is to improve electronic communication between school and home. Contact the school if you haven’t received your password or are having problems logging onto the system at 1-306-453-2500.

Remember, if you ever have questions or concerns to discuss with your child’s particular teachers, please email the teacher or contact the school.

All your school information can be found on the GF Kells website.
