Basketball season is well underway at GFK and both junior and senior teams have been busy with practices, exhibition games, and tournaments. GFK senior basketball will be hosting conference basketball @ the GFK gym on Saturday, March. 11^th. Important dates: Junior basketball districts 鈥� Thursday, March. 9^th ,听Senior basketball Conference 鈥� Saturday, March. 11^th @ GFK , Regionals 鈥� Fri/sat, March. 17/18, Provincials (HOOPLA) 鈥� Thursday, Friday, Saturday, March. 23/24/25.

The GFK senior boys鈥� curling team has been hard at it since after the break, practicing twice a week. Important dates: Senior curling districts 鈥� Friday, Feb. 24^th , Regionals 鈥� Fri/Sat March. 3^rd and 4^th, Provincials 鈥� Fri/ sat March. 10^th and 11^th.

GFK badminton will be starting after the February school break. Both junior and senior teams will be practicing twice a week and taking part in tournaments and exhibition games throughout the season. Important dates : Junior badminton pre-districts 鈥� Tuesday, May 2^nd , Districts 鈥� Saturday, May 6^th,听Senior badminton pre 鈥� districts 鈥� Tuesday, April 25^th , Districts 鈥� Saturday, April 29^th ,Regionals 鈥� Saturday, May 6^th ,Provincials 鈥� Saturday, May 13^th .

Fitness club has been running since the beginning of September with many eager students coming out Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 7:45 鈥� 8:30. All students and fitness levels are welcome to come at any time. Get your day started right with some exercise.

听

The nest School Community Council meeting is Wed. March 8 at 7:00 PM in the GFK library. All parents are welcome to attend.
