This past weekend in Stoughton, the Senior Boys Basketball Team took to the court for their first tournament of the season. Friday night saw the Cougars of Carlyle match up against the Cougars of Canora, with Canora proving to be too strong of an opponent to handle. Our guys kept the score close through the first half, but things ran away on them by the third quarter. The team would bounce back the next morning though, taking down the Fillmore Falcons for the first W of the year. Leading the way for the Cougars were veterans Cody Hagel and Matthew Forcier, along with first year center Rawson Marsh. The team moved on to play the Fort Qu鈥橝ppelle Bisons in Saturday afternoon鈥檚 Consolation Final. With key players missing from the bench, the Cougars pushed hard, but came up with a close loss. The Cougars will step back onto the court this weekend, when they travel to Weyburn Comp鈥檚 Jr. Home Tournament. Game time is 8pm against Prince Albert.

The Drama 20 class had a wonderful evening of drama at Regina鈥檚 Globe Theatre last week on Wednesday evening. Peter and the Starcatcher was awesome!

Fitness club is still a popular attraction for students and teachers at GFK. Lots of kids are attending and they are all at different levels of fitness. Anyone and everyone is welcome at any time. Fitness club runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning from 7:45 鈥� 8:30.

Final exams will be from January 23, 2017 to January 27, 2017. The cut-off for handing in assignments will be Monday, January 16, 2017, unless otherwise stated.
